"That's okay. Just point at us. The rest will go across the hall to the other room and we'll update them later." Bryon glanced at the other guys who nodded.
Lenora lifted her head and pointed at Bryon. "Because Becca says you're hers. You have to be good since she is."
Bryon laughed. "Thank you."
"And…" Lenora looked at the other men and then sighed. She slowly lifted her finger and pointed to Xander. "And you, because you don't look like a policeman."
Bryon held back a laugh because honestly, it wasn't funny to have a child so scared of police officers.
Xander smiled. "Good choice. I'm not a police officer and I'm also the most fun guy here. These guys are boring." He smacked Noam's arm.
"We'll head across the hall to Kasey's room. Faith, give me your phone so I can download those photos and start searching." Matt stood and went down the hall. He returned with his laptop.
Faith jumped up and took her phone to him, giving him a hug before going back to Lenora and sitting down.
"Are there any medical issues?" Beau asked, his gaze scanning over Lenora, then Becca and Faith.
Becca leaned closer to Lenora. "Are you hurt anywhere? Beau is a doctor."
Bryon noticed Lenora tighten her legs together as she shook her head vigorously. His chest tightened. Had the girl already been hurt? By her reaction, he'd guess she had. He glanced up and from the look on Beau's face, he was sure he'd seen her response as well.
"I'll let you know if we need you, Beau." Faith met his stare.
Bryon sighed. It wasn't like they could force the girl into a medical exam right now. She appeared okay for the time being. Hopefully, the girls would gain her trust and find out if there were any physical injuries. He was sure there were mental ones.
Beau nodded before following the rest of the guys out of the room.
"Lenora, are you hungry? I know sometimes for me it's easier to talk when I'm eating something good. Can we order something from room service for you? Maybe a cheeseburger or grilled cheese?" Xander asked.
Bryon smiled. Leave it to Xander to understand how to talk to a child. He'd always been so good with them. He needed to remember that as this went on. She'd probably respond to Xander better than him. After all, he did look like a cop. Thankfully, Becca had talked him up so the girl trusted him a bit.
Lenora glanced at Becca.
"It's okay if you're hungry. I'll even order some fries to eat with you, and I know Xander will probably get a burger or something." Becca brushed the girl's hair back from her face. "You're safe here. You make yourself at home here. If you need anything, just tell us. There's a bathroom in that room." Becca pointed. "And once you tell us what we need to know, there's a bedroom if you want to lay down and rest. I bet you're tired after everything you've had to go through the last while."
Lenora nodded. "I'd like a cheeseburger and fries."
"And to drink? Maybe a Coke or something?" Xander asked as he reached for the room service menu.
"Yeah, that would be good." She gave Xander a small smile.
"I'll call it in while you guys talk a bit." Faith stood. "Bryon, want anything?"
"I'm good. I had dinner an hour ago." He couldn't eat right now even if he was hungry. He was too worried about what they needed to do. Right now, there were probably two men hunting for Becca because they'd realized she'd been the one to help the girl escape. Not only did he need to protect the child, but he also had to protect Faith and Becca. He rubbed his eyes and wondered what happened to their carefree vacation.
"So are you from Las Vegas? Did you live here with your parents?" Xander asked.
Lenora nodded. "Not near the Strip, but yes, in Vegas."
"Pretty place to grow up. How old are you?"
"Ten."
"And your brother?"
"Andy is eight." Her brown eyes filled with tears. "Do you think you can find him too?"
"Maybe. We're going to try," Xander promised.
