“Yeah.”

“I want an exclusive.”

Sasha was laughing despite herself when she ended the call with Maisy and dialed Caroline Master’s home number.

“Sasha? Is everything okay?”

“I’m sorry to call you at home, especially this late, but I need you to work your travel agency sources for me.”

“Where do you need to go?” The firm’s office manager sprang into instant efficient action.

“Sun Valley, Idaho. I need to leave tonight.”

“Flying out of Pittsburgh International, I assume?”

“No, departing from … shoot … the closest airport to Peekskill, New York.”

“Probably Westchester County,” Caroline mused to herself. “Okay, I’ve got this. I’ll text you the itinerary when it’s set. Client number?”

“Firm charge.”

Caroline sighed. “Does this mean you found Cinco?”

“How did—?”

“The network.”

“Yeah, I found him.”

“Is he okay?” Caroline’s voice held genuine concern for her former boss.

“I don’t know,” Sasha told her honestly. “I’m doing everything I can. This trip might help.”

“I’m on it.”

“Thanks.” Sasha ended the call and rapped on the cabin door.

Ellie pulled it open, and Sasha handed over the hand sanitizer. “I need the car keys.”

“Why?”

“I need to get my stuff from the inn and drive to the airport.”

“The airport? But …”

“I’ll fill you in tomorrow. For now, you stay put. Tomorrow, you can get his car from the woods and drive into town. Check us out of the inn, get some groceries, and come back here until you hear from me.”

Ellie dropped the keys into Sasha’s outstretched palm. “But where are you going?”

“Idaho.”

“Idaho?”

“You trust me, right?”

Ellie considered her response for a long moment. “Yeah, I do.”

“Good. Take care of your dad. I’ll take care of this. How’s he doing, anyway?”
