It wouldn’t be hard to get in since all the windows were broken out and the doors hung crookedly on their hinges.

The abandoned cabin wasn’t secure at all.

Again, a benefit for Stone and his brothers, but not for Gentry.

Stand where I can see you, came the next text. You better have my son.

Stone had his son all right, just not with him. Gentry was never getting Baby Bird back. In fact, Stone would make sure he never saw his son again.

Bones worked his way closer and mumbled under his breath, “Gonna go pound on the door. While that fucker’s distracted, Ogre and the rest are gonna rush in from the rear. Gonna do a little shock and fuckin’ awe maneuver. Catch the fucker off guard.”

“Yeah.”

“Ogre told us to send two prospects in the front door to shield us, just in case the motherfucker’s packin’.”

“Good idea.”

“Ogre’s pretty fuckin’ smart sometimes. Other times, not so much.”

Stone wasn’t in the fucking mood to joke. He’d laugh about that shit later. Right now he needed to concentrate on his daughter and thesoon-to-be-deadasshole.

Chapter Thirty-One

Stone could seenothing but his daughter restrained in that fucking chair. Nothing else.

“Cut her loose!” he roared. “Now!”

While his brothers rushed to free his baby girl, he turned to find Ogre standing over Gentry. The man was on his knees with one side of his face already swelling and blood trickling out of his right ear.

Goddamn shame. But that was only a taste of the payback he’d be getting.

Stone growled. He wanted to cut off the motherfucker’s dick and stuff it in his mouth, then rip his head off with his bare hands and shit down his throat.

He wanted to shove a pike up the man’s asshole and post him out in front of The Castle.

A clear statement that would tell everyone:Nobody fucks with the Kings.

No-fucking-body.

He waited until Ransom finished taping Gentry’s wrists and ankles together and slapping another long piece over theman’s mouth. Gentry’s wide eyes tracked Stone as he took his time approaching. He hoped his asshole was puckering tighter with each step closer he took.

When he got to where Gentry was forced to kneel, he grabbed the fucker’s neck and squeezed, holding back only enough pressure to avoid crushing the fucker’s windpipe. Gentry didn’t deserve a death that was quick or easy.

Fuck no. The bastard needed to suffer.

Stone leaned down and got in his face. “Gonna deal with you shortly. First, gonna check on my girl.”

“Dad!”

He turned to see Sunny’s arms now free and her pinning both across her stomach. Grim quickly hacked away at the tape on one ankle while Patch worked on the other.

Despite that, his girl’s red-rimmed eyes remained locked on him. And for every tear that spilled over, it ratcheted up his anger another level.

When she was finally free, another “Dad!” came out on a sob and Stone rushed over to pull her out of the chair and into his arms.

“Jesus fuckin’ Christ.” His nostrils flared in an attempt not to spin out of control.

Stone took a moment to hold her away from him, just far enough to quickly assess her visually. No blood. No bruises. No torn clothing.
