“Go to sleep!” he whispers to me.

Oh, My God! The soft heat which reigns in this cocoon warms me quickly and its smell envelops me. It is finally Tesla[5]that accompanies mentally my sleep with a ‘Sweet Paradise’. Because it is necessary to admit it, to fall asleep in the arms of Nixx, it is a little paradise.

“Hold me close now, hold me tight

Don't let go of me tonight

You're all I want, you're all I need

Hold me close now, hold me tight

And don't let go of me tonight

Sweet paradise, yeah”

The fatigue and the relaxing potion I drank are slowly putting me to sleep.

Nixx

I silently ruminated on how the evening had gone. Determined to put some distance between us, I ignored Sarah and concentrated on the discussions with Azarr's men. They are happy with their leader’s deal and are concerned about Nurr's ambitions.

When the beautiful Sally joined us and made a pass at me, I didn't want to discourage her. And then I met Sarah's eyes. I saw her look lost and slightly pained.

And then suddenly, her attitude changed. She raised her little chin in a voluntary gesture. And spent a part of the evening with Lokk who took care of showing her the dishes prepared for the last meal. And making his comments to me from a distance, the bastard.

“She is very funny, this female . . .”

“And greedy too . . .”

“And curious about that . . .”

I'm ignoring him. This jerk isn't going to leave me alone all night.

“Anyway, if you don't want her, it looks like Udill is interested!” Headds with a laugh.

I rage at the thought of that Udill showing off to Sarah. To think that the beautiful Sally was willing to show me the way to her apartment. She was very clear about her interest in me. But it must be said that she didn't trigger anything particular in my head, or even elsewhere. This was to be expected.

And then, when I saw Udill introduce himself to Sarah, my blood ran cold. What right does he have to seduce My Human? I quickly put an end to her hopes and took over the rest of the evening with Sarah, whom I should never have left alone. She asks me for access to the kitchens of the Western Bastion when we are on my land. I don't quite understand the point, but if it makes her happy . . .

Lokk is right, she is curious about everything and her eyes sparkle when she sees something that catches her eye in a certain way. I think she must be making comparisons between our two worlds. And I figure that if she has something to learn from ours, surely, we have something to learn from hers as well.

I show her the way when it's time to leave our hosts and go to our quarters. In the hallway, I hesitate—should I leave one room for Sarah and share the other with Lokk? It would make sense because I still haven't made up my mind about my relationship with Sarah.

Reasonably, I decide to let him have the room and postpone any important decision.

Arrived in front of the two rooms put at my disposal by Azarr, I finally follow her into her room and arrange the screen, which closes the door, with me inside.
