“Don’t disappear again,” Bree firmly orders us both.

Neither of us answer her, there’s too much uncertainty to be able to reassure her of that. She pauses in her getting ready at the silence, understanding dawning on her.

“Here, can I at least have your number? I won’t breathe a word, except to Claire. I just want to know that you’re okay. Please, can you at least keep in contact?” She holds out her unlocked phone.

I take it and add the number of the one phone we have right now. Then I run a quick search on her security.

“I’ve saved it under Izzy, using Red’s name from when I found her in Wintica. Don’t change it to our names. And make sure you keep your phone updated, there’s a risk that it could be tapped if those looking for us find out that we’ve seen you.”

“Don’t worry, the ballet company is hot on that shit. You wouldn’t believe the number of stalkers we get.”

Red stiffens beside me. “Have you been threatened?”

“Yeah, it's all part of the job apparently. Like some freaky initiation. You’re not a ‘real’ dancer until you’ve amassed some fans that belong in creeper territory.” Bree laughs it off and starts gathering her things again.

We head out of the suite and take separate elevators, but not before the two females embrace, parting with tears in their eyes. I feel the mix of happiness and sadness swirling within my mate. She’s so glad to have one of her best friendsback and to have told her the truth, but sad that this meeting was so brief.

Stepping into our elevator, I push the button to take us to level five before I pull Red into my arms, laying a soft kiss to her brow. She clings to me and inhales deeply. I really hope this plan plays out the way we are planning it to so Red can finally have some semblance of a normal life. I want her to have her friends back, and a home in the city I know she also misses.

I feel Red’s body change in my arms as she pulls her glamour back into place.

“Ready for this?” I ask as we exit the lift and stroll, fingers entwined, down the corridor to the correct room.

“Yes. Let's get some answers.”

‘You know we’re possibly going to have to kill either one or both of the males depending on which ones they are, right? We only really need one to get us back to Froan.’

‘I know. If it keeps you safe, I’ll do it in a heartbeat. Adicious isn’t getting his hands on you again.’Her growl reverberates off the walls as she speaks into my mind. I can’t help the rush of blood to my dick at her violent side. This female.

‘I’m sure Henry and I can take care of these ones, Red, but you’ll no doubt witness it and you’ll have to help hide the bodies.’

‘Fine with me. Let’s get on with it.’Her posture visibly straightens as she struts to the door, surprising me with the no nonsense approach to this.

She’s been so against harming anyone, but I guess after what she’s been through, a little revenge is more than justified.

I knock on the door.

Henry opens it and lets us into the suite. It's similar to the one we’ve just left, although smaller, and with two double beds instead of the king Bree has to herself. There are two male vampires currently knocked out and tied upon each one.

“I thought rope would be too easy for them to snap?” Red asks, surveying the two unconscious figures.

“It won’t hold them for long when they come round but it’ll make them pause.” Antares sits on the dresser surface, legs kicking, a strangely gleeful looking smile on his face.

“This one said his name was Mitch.” Henry moves to the one furthest from the doorway and taps his leg.

I stalk over for a better look and take in the short, milk chocolate hair, lighter at the ends, and the full stubble on his chin. He’s sporting a black eye, one that’s several days old, but there’s no mistaking my old roommate.

“Yes, it's him,” I confirm before looking over at the second male. The anger in my veins threatens to go from simmering to raging in a heartbeat. “This one is Demetri.”

“He was in the alley when they captured us,” Red says, a little nervousness in her voice but I hear her anger too.

“Yes, he aided Ronan. He needs to die.” My fangs extend as the need to end him clouds my mind.

“Wait! It’s been months, what if he’s changed? What if he has realised his mistakes?” Red cuts across my bloodlust before I can cross the space and snap his neck.

“He hurt you,” I growl.

“She’s right, Ty,” Henry jumps in. “We should at least wait until he wakes and see what he has to say for himself. Antares rendered them unconscious as soon as we got into the room.”
