All I heard in my mind was if I wanted to spend more time with him. “Oh, yes, I would love that. Before we do that, though, I want to change out of my heels. These are not walking shoes.” I giggled.
He chuckled. “Yeah, I don’t know how y’all females walk in those high shits. You look good in them though. While you do that, I’ll change my clothes.”
I felt his eyes on me as I walked out of the home office, I guessed I would call it.God, please hold me in your arms as I walk around with this man.It was not a good idea to fuck your boss before the first day of work. That was just not what I wanted to do. The fact that the attraction between us was mutual made it harder to be around him.Well, maybe I wasn’t obvious about wanting to put his dick in me.Yeah, I played it cool.
I slipped on my sneakers, then headed back to the office. T.J. emerged out the front door before I got to it.The devil is busy. This man had on a pair of basketball shorts, a wife beater, and nice ass sneakers. I closed my eyes for a second because I didn’trealize he was bowlegged earlier. “You ready?” he asked once he stood in front of me.Jesus be with me.
I loved Burke Manufacture Homes. My first week at work was amazing. When I walked on the site, I wasn’t surprised by the side-eyes. I already knew that there were men and women locker rooms with showers. Everyone had an assigned locker. I never came on the worksite in work clothes unless I ran late. I walked on like a complete girly girl.
I got all thewho she here forlooks. The plus of working on construction or manufacturing sites was that there were few females. That left out a lot of cattiness. From what I’d learned about the company from my research, their plant employed a little over four hundred people. Less than fifteen percent of that workforce was women. When I walked into the locker room, there were a few females in there. They introduced themselves and welcomed me.
All of them worked on the assembly line putting together things like the cabinets and things like that. They never asked what I did, but once I was dressed and how I was dressed told them, we were not the same. My report time was 6:30 a.m. for the daily morning meeting. I thought that was a bit much when Casey told me about it once we connected for my orientation. After he told me that the company supplied breakfast every morning, that explained it.
I didn’t start working until two weeks after T.J. offered me the position. I had to clear all the background and certification checks. Casey told me that T.J. didn’t come out to the plantoften, but I couldn’t tell. I saw him every day the first week that I was there. He made sure to check on me, which I liked.
Now that my first work week was over, Fiona and Croy wanted to celebrate. I thought they meant that we would go out to dinner. Nope. We were at a hookah lounge that was hype as hell with what seemed to be their whole entire friend circle. All the ladies and their men were here.It sucks to be single in this circle.Everyone was booed up in the section. I was just here.
“This place has an interestingly diverse demographic of patrons,” I said to Fiona as I leaned toward her. “I’ve never felt so bougie and hood at the same time.”
She giggled. “Yeah, it has a healthy mix. The main reason we came here is because of the food.”
That made sense. “Okay, I can see that because these wings are nothing to play with at all. This place is definitely a . . .” My words got caught in my ass at the sight of T.J. coming toward the section.
“You good over there?” Croy asked. “Your ass lost your words mid-sentence.” He wore the biggest smirk.
I ignored his ass. T.J. walked like he owned the fucking place, and I loved that. People parted like the Red Sea. Dark denim jeans, fresh sneakers, and an Asher Kane, Carolina Cougar’s jersey. When we toured the model homes, I saw that he had two full arm and leg sleeves. I never thought I would find leg sleeves attractive, but on him, I did.
“What it do, Bubba?” He spoke to Croy first. My eyes pushed back in my sockets, the center of my brows kissed, and the corner of my upper lip turned up. This was the first time that I’d heard his Geechie accent be so prevalent.Great! Now my ass is even more attracted to him.
When I got here, the first thing that Fiona warned me about was that accent. She told me that it would have you doing things that you didn’t know was possible. She was right. I loved theiraccent so much. When I heard them call a female theirole ladyorlil one, I would melt.
I watched him greet everyone in our section before he came my way. He stood in front of me and looked down. “Get up, Meek.”
“Meek? Oh, we got a nickname now?” Fiona teased. “I like that.”
My gaze shot in her direction. “Shut up, Fiona.” I stood to his request. “Hey, T.J.”
One of his arms wrapped around me to pull me in. Once I was against his body, he put his face into my neck before his lips went to my ear. “You look good as fuck. Ya ass too thick ta ha dis skirt on without me on ya ass.” His smack on my ass made my eyes go wide. “Don’t do dat shit no more before I gotta fuck somebody son up outcha.”
When I peeked to the side of me, Fiona wasn’t the only female with their eyes on me and a smirk on their face. I pulled back from him, then looked down at my outfit. I wore a high-waisted skirt with an oversized graphic crop top. I paired them all with sneakers because I never went to a nighttime establishment for the first time in heels. “I like what I have on.”
His fingers cupped my chin. “Stop pouting, lil one. You look sexy as hell. Jus’ make sure I withca when you dress like dis.” He stepped to my side, sat down, then pulled me on his lap.
I surveyed the area with a quick glance. I didn’t know his dick business, but from the reaction of the females in the area, he had some. My lips went to his ear. “It looks like your fan club is not pleased with me?—”
His finger covered my lips to stop my words. He was lucky that I had no transfer, matte lipstick on, or he would have ruined it. “E ain’t ya job to worry about what a bitch think about what we got goin’ on. Jus’ know that I ain’t got shit goin’ on wit’ none of dem.”
My skepticism caused my face to tighten and buck back. “So, are you trying to tell me that you keep your dick dry? I find that very hard to believe.”
“I ain’t say all dat, but des hoes know what it is. If I got you on my lap, den dey know dis ain’t no casual shit I on or tryin’ to be on.” He kissed my cheek. “Worry ’bout dis shit we got goin’ on and not dem other bitches.”
My mind and spirit digested his words. “I didn’t know that we had shit going on, T.J. Are you asking me to have something going on with you?”
“Nah, I tellin’ you.” His eyes focused on mine. “We got some um goin’ on.”
That was something else that Fiona warned me about. A lot of Charleston bred niggas were aggressive when it came to the woman that they wanted. It was never a conversation about whether she would be their woman. It just was and that was that. She told me how Croy and she started their official relationship. That man came into her human anatomy class and told her not only were they in a relationship, but they lived together too.
For the rest of the evening, we vibed, drank, talked, and I got to show off my dance moves. It was around two in the morning when I told everyone that I was about to head out. T.J. told them that he was about to do the same. When I told him that he didn’t have to leave, he looked at me like I was crazy. “Da fuck I look like stayin’ in a club, lounge, or whateva afta my ole lady leave. You got me fuck up.”
