He tsks his tongue. “I always knew you were hiding something good under all of those clothes. Imagine my surprise when I meet a buddy at a strip club for his birthday, and who do I see? Little Miss Virgin Cami taking her clothes off for everyone to see. Come on, Killa Kam. Give me another show.”

Yeah, dancing is done for me. I don’t think I can handle another person in my life finding out this day. I feel ill.

“You’ve met my boyfriend. Remember? The road captain of the Lotus MC. You really want to ask his old lady to strip for you?” I ask.

“He’s not here. Besides, he lets you do it on stage. I’ll even pay triple.”

“You should leave before you embarrass yourself. Fang will be here at any moment,” I tell him, eyeing his friends.

They look wary.

“Yeah, right. You wish he was here to save your sorry ass. Maybe I’ll take a free sample of the goods to make sure you are worth the money.” He steps forward but pauses when the roar of a motorcycle can be heard.

His friends wisely turn and hastily make their way anywhere else but here.

I don’t even bother to look at the road behind me. I wait as the sound gets close before it turns off right behind me.

Fang comes to me immediately, turning my face to kiss me deeply. I kiss him back, melting against him.

“So you need your boyfriend to fight your battle, huh?” Zak says, breaking our kiss.

“No, but I’m loving watching you dig your hole,” I tell him.

“What are you looking at, asshole?” Fang asks, his hands still on me.

“Killa Kam. I got to see her show the other night. Well, until you fucked up my face. Figured she’d give me an encore as a form of an apology.”

Fang stiffens, turning as he pushes me behind him.

“You will show her respect. She is not something for you to play with. She prefers real men. Run along now, child.” Fang gives the guy an out.

Zak is an idiot, though. He keeps on talking.

“Bro, she has to have the loosest pussy known to man. Hey, at least she learned to clean it. Back in school, whew, you didn’t want to be within six feet of Stinky Cami.”

Zak doesn’t even see it coming. Fang’s fist is so fast as it flies through the air, a crunching noise ringing out.

I wince at the violence, but surprisingly, it doesn’t send me into a panic. I don’t know if it’s because I know Fang would never raise his fist to me or if it’s because it’s in my defense. Either way, I’m glad to see Zak get what he deserves.

Then again, I almost feel like this situation is my fault. I’ve threatened to turn him in to the school, I’ve threatened to call the cops, and yet I haven’t. Somewhere deep down I hoped that he would just back off and leave me the hell alone, but apparently I was wrong. Hopefully now though, he gets the message.

“Fuck, you broke my nose. Again!” Zak cries out as he clutches his face.

“Be glad it’s the only thing I broke. Cami is mine. You won’t ever speak her name again. If you see her, walk the other fucking way. Trust me, you don’t want to know what the Lotus do to people who threaten their family.”

Zak glares at me. “This isn’t over.”

I shrug. “For your sake, I hope it is.”

As he walks away, Fang turns to me. “I’m so sorry. I know you hate violence. It was a reaction. I hate him talking about you that way.”

“I’m okay. I know you wouldn’t hurt me. I know sometimes you will need to use violence. Don’t worry about it,” I tell him.

He leans in, kissing me. “Thank you for your grace. I promise I will do everything I can for you to never have to witness that again.”

“I know.”

“So what’s your good news anyway?”
