She ignores me as she leaves the room. I quickly shower, then change into comfy clothes. Then I step out to find Happy still waiting.

“I’ll walk you to your car.”

“Do you think this is a good idea?” I ask him as I fall into step beside him.

“I do. He will like this surprise,” Happy reassures me.

Opening my door, he leans down. “Straight to the clubhouse. No stopping.”

“Why?” I ask.

“It’s dangerous this time of night. Promise me.”

I nod. “Promise.”

I do as he asks, driving straight to the clubhouse. Like he said, the guy at the gate only looks at me briefly before letting me in. When I step into the clubhouse, it’s quiet. There’s no one around.

I didn’t see Jensen’s bike, so I don’t think he is back yet. I wonder if I should leave when I hear footsteps. I’m hoping for someone who can help me figure out what to do, but I’m disappointed.

Biggy turns the corner, stopping when he sees me. Then he gets a slimy smirk on his face.

“Killa Kam. What a pleasant surprise. What are you doing here? Come to your senses finally?” he asks, stepping closer to me.

I take a step back toward the bar, not liking being alone with this guy.

“I’m here for Fang,” I tell him.

“He’s not here, sweetheart. I could keep you company, though. What do you say?” His eyes roam my body.

I’m covered up with jeans and a hoodie, but my skin still crawls. I know he has seen me in less. He’s the only brother who still watches me when I perform on stage. I hate that he knows what I look like under my clothes.

The shame fills me at my profession for the first time in a long time.

“No, thank you.” I try to remain polite, knowing that combative women in situations like this can have the opposite effect than desired.

“Oh, come on.” He steps closer yet again, “You can’t really be into Fang. I mean, what a stupid road name, right? He’s a little pussy boy. Always has been. I’ve known him since he was a teen, you know. I remember when he prospected. I didn’t think he’d make it. He shouldn’t have. You want a failure of a man like that?”

“I do,” I tell him. “I’m Fang’s,” I declare.

“Come on, baby. You don’t mean that. You think you want him because you haven’t had a real man.”

The sound of bottles clinking comes from behind me. Viv comes into view as she sets the case of beer on the bar.

“Is there a problem here?” she asks.

“Nope,” Biggy says.

“Cami?” she asks me.

“He won’t leave me alone,” I admit, hating that I feel so small.

“Biggy, get the fuck out of here.”

“Mind your business. You’re lucky Savage put some weird protection on you. You fucking our pres on the side? I could give you the D too. Dick both of you down and really show you what you are missing.”

Viv’s face turns red. “If you have any sense, you will leave this clubhouse now. I won’t fucking tell you again.”

“What is all the commotion?” Bailey’s voice joins from the other side of the room.
