“Her!” Ainsley points to Katie, who’s trying to play the sweet and innocent card. “She did this. She didallthis. We were right. She set us up.”

I have no idea what Ainsley's talking about specifically, but judging by Katie’s smug look, she does.

“I don’t know what you mean, Ainsley?” Katie pretends to be sincere. “If anything you should be thanking me. I’m the reason you two lovebirds are together.”

“So you’re going to deny that the reason my ex here decided to follow and stalk me to my car was because you encouraged him to? And that you weren’t parked behind a car somewhere, getting every horrible picture you could?”

Katie just shrugs. “I don’t know what he told you, but that can’t be true. That doesn’t sound like something I’d do.”

She might’ve said those words, but the scathing look she sends to Dipshit, who’s now cowering away in his guiltiness, says more than her lie just did.

“You’re a fucking horrible person,” Ainsley says. And out of everything that’s happened in the past twenty minutes, Ainsley dropping f-bombs is still the most shocking. “I don’t know what your motivation was. Why you wanted to tear Linc down. But we’re not going to let you.”

“How you going to do that, Ainsley? Fight me? I thought that was Linc’s job in this relationship.”

I start to open my mouth, but Ainsley beats me to it. And not only that, but she pulls away from me and actually shoves her. “I fight for what’s mine. And that includes slapping bitches who fuck with those I love.”

Holy shit…my sweet Ainsley Mae might fight a bitch.

“You…you! You ruined everything!” Katie yells, lunging at Ainsley. I hurry and react, picking up Ainsley to get her out of the way, which only sends Katie flying and nearly running into the brick of the building.

“We need to get out of here,” I say to Ainsley as I set her back down. When I do, I notice a familiar look in her eye. I’ve seen it on myself before.

She’s ready to fuck someone up.

I try to pull her away, despite the “come at me” stare she’s giving Katie, which is why I don’t see Dipshit running toward me. That, and he’s short.

“Get your hands off of her!” he yells as he tries to tackle me. “She’s mine! She’s always been mine!”

I turn just in time to see him, and I swing my arm, trying to stop him. The only problem with that is because I don’t know what’s happening with anything right now, and he’s short, Dipshit runs into my outstretched and accidental fist.

“What the fuck?” I mutter as I watch him fall to the ground.

“You hit me!” Dipshit cries out, holding his nose. And yes, I technically did, but no way could I have hit him that hard.

Oh shit…I hit him…

“Oh no, what happened?” Katie says with a vengefulness in her voice I’ve never heard before. “Looks like someone got in a fight.”

“It’s…” I don’t have the words because I have no idea what’s happening right now. I look around, stunned, as Ainsley comes back to my side.

Which is when I see it. Him.

My downfall.

Brad Rockwell. Standing against the building. Phone pointed right at me.

I just need you all to know that something is going to come out today. There was…a bit of a fight last night after the game. Both Linc and I were involved. It’s too convoluted to explain over text, and we still don’t know when the pictures or videos are going to come out, but I just wanted to give y’all a heads up.
