Our previous frenzied pace slows. It’s gentler. He moves slowly on top, taking his time with every thrust and grunt.

I love feeling the heat of his body and hearing every singlemoan from him.

I grab his hair, wrapping my fingers around his silky light locks.

I can’t take much more.

“Bash,” I moan. “I’m almost there.”

“Come with me,” he says, while moving his lips from my neck to my breasts. He sucks a nipple while keeping a steady pace.

I can’t help but explode.

“Fuck,” he groans, breathing heavily next to me after a minute of silence between both of us.

“Fuck,” I agree.

That was easily the best sex of my life, and that was only our first time together. I’ve had good sex before, but I feel like it is something I’ve worked up to with a partner. The first few times are supposed to be awkward and messy as you learn each other, right?

Well, I guess I was wrong, because sex with Sebastian is at a different level. Our bodies are already in sync.

We are lying next to each other, still fully naked, as our breathing slowly returns to normal.

He turns his head to face me, and I make full eye contact in return.

“You called me Bash,” he says with a slanted smile.

“I did?”

“Yes.” After he realizes I’m too embarrassed to admit to it, he adds, “I like it.”

“You do?”

“Yeah, no one has ever called me that before.”

“I call you that in my head sometimes,” I admit. “It fits you.”

“Yeah,” he agrees, as he gives me a sweet kiss to my temple.

“Stay the night?”

“Yes,” I say instantly. You don’t have to convince me to stay here longer. He may need to kick me out because I’m very comfortable.

“Good.”

We drift off to sleep, still wrapped up in each other’s arms.

Chapter Twenty-Nine

Annie

Thankfully, I don’t need to wait long to see Sebastian again. My volleyball schedule is changing—for the better.

September was full of invitationals and tournaments, but now that it’s October, my schedule will be a little different.

Chestnut Hill University is part of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), consisting of eighteen colleges and universities among twelve states. When I was a student and volleyball player in North Carolina, I played for the same division, so I’m very familiar with all the teams and travel.

After I graduated college, I became an assistant volleyball coach at a smaller university in a regional division. However, I think being familiar with the ACC as a student helped me land my first head coaching job at Chestnut Hill University. It’s kind of fun seeing the division through the lens of a coach now.
