I smirked. “So. Much. More.”
I filled Amber in on most of the details, keeping a few things to myself. After all, she didn’t need to know everything.
Shortly before eleven, Amber yawned and stretched.
“Guess I’d better get going. Wouldn’t want to be accidentally waxing off the wrong bits on my first appointment tomorrow.”
I shuddered. “No, gross.”
Amber pulled me in for a hug. “I’m so glad about you and Justin. When are you seeing him next?”
“Not sure. We didn’t really talk about it.” A horrible thought hit me. What if he didn’t want to see me again? What if he’d got what he wanted and now he would ignore me?
“He’ll be in touch, I’m sure of it. We’ll go out on Friday, double date.” Amber winked and blew me a kiss.
Alone again, I grabbed my phone from the bedside table. My fingers hovered over the screen, wondering if I should message Justin or whether it would look too desperate. The notification made me jump and I grinned.
Justin: Was just thinking about you. Can I come over? x
Lennon: I’m about to go to sleep. Got work in the morning x
Justin: Boooo… I promise you won’t even know I’m there…
Lennon: I prefer it when you are here…
Justin: Then let it happen. I can be there in ten minutes.
I smiled into the darkness. He wanted me.
Lennon: Not tonight, can’t have too much of a good thing.
Justin: Babe, you don’t even know how good xx
Lennon: I’m looking forward to finding out… night Justin xx
Justin: Night Lennon, sweet dreams, hope I feature ;-) xxx
It took all of my willpower not to tell him to get himself here. But I had to be sure it wasn’t a one-night thing. I wanted more of Justin Navarro. Much, much more.

When my alarmwent off the next morning, I realised for the first time in a long while I’d actually slept through the entire night.
It’s amazing what great sex can do.
Even though I knew Mum was in the house somewhere, I kept to my usual routine, taking a quick shower, eating my breakfast while watching the news, ready to head off shortly before eight.
“Ugh, what time did I get in last night?” Mum stumbled into the kitchen, hair all over the place, mascara ringing her eyes. She put a hand to her head.
“No idea. I was in bed and asleep.” I couldn’t resist keeping the smug tone out of my voice. “Amber came over for a bit, but she was gone by eleven.”
Mum sank into the chair opposite me. “Sonya got the good gin out, we talked, we drank.”
“Did you watch any Hugh Grant films?”
“What?” Mum frowned.
I giggled, pushing my chair back. “Nothing. Look, I’ve got to go to work now. Why don’t you pop in later? See for yourself I’m not a total loser.”
