DarkRaven: I’ll do it on one condition.

DarkRaven: You keep the journal to ensure I’m telling the truth.

How interesting…

Most people would lie, keep their secrets, and be done.

But not my little dove.

Which only tells me I’m right about her.

She wants this as badly as I do.

You_Run_Ill_Chase: Why does it matter if I know you’re telling the truth?

I’m sure she won’t answer. It’s almost five in the morning. The sun will be up soon. She does answer though, and I’m pleasantly surprised.

Does she stay up late like me or is she up early? I’m curious to know.

DarkRaven: It matters to me.

You_Run_Ill_Chase: Why?

DarkRaven: Because it won’t work otherwise.

DarkRaven: I need to be truthful about who I am. Accepting these things about me. Otherwise, I think they’ll drive me mad.

You_Run_Ill_Chase: That’s what secrets do.

DarkRaven: I don’t want to keep secrets anymore.

I stare at the screen, wondering if this is the same girl I’ve been talking to. Just as she mentioned I was different yesterday, she is different now. Maybe there’s something in the air.

You_Run_Ill_Chase: Okay, little dove. I’ll accept your counteroffer.

DarkRaven: Thanks, JT ;)

I have no idea what to make of the winky face, and I can’t tell if I’m more thrown off by that or the fact she called me JT. Is she being flirty or is she just tired? And who the fuck is JT?

You_Run_Ill_Chase: JT? As in Justin Timberlake?

DarkRaven: LOL No. As in Journal Thief.

I smirk.

This girl…

You_Run_Ill_Chase: I approve.

DarkRaven: Good. I need to get a few hours of sleep before class. Talk later, JT.

You_Run_Ill_Chase: Later, LD.

I get no response after that but didn’t expect one. I should get some sleep too. But before I do that, I navigate through the settings of this app, curious if I can change my username. I’m happy when I find that I can and do so right away. From now on, I’ll be known asJournalThief—AKA JT.
