Grizzly visibly tensed.
“Come on, Landon. Let’s move over to the very large bed and invite Toby to join us.” Libby was working it hard, but I sensed Grizz wasn’t going to give in.
“I have work to do. The guys who bombed David’s clubhouse are still out there.” He pecked her lips and guided her off his lap.
“Well, if you really have to work,” she said, disappointedly.
“You two go ahead.” He closed his laptop. “I can go out to the car.”
Great, he was going to leave? I couldn’t let him. We were too close to becoming everything we all wanted.
“Don’t go.” I vaulted out of the chair and stalked toward him. “I won’t let you run away.” I took his laptop out of his hands and pushed him against the wall. Shock flashed in his brown depths.
“Please stop,” he whispered.
“I like it when you beg.” I sealed my lips to his and poured all my strength and desire into it. He didn’t fight, but he didn’t exactly respond the way I wanted him to, either.
