Elijah sighed deeply. Pretty sure he was tired of us, but he followed us inside, carrying our bags.
Large windows showing the breathtaking ocean view, invited serenity into every corner of this living room. Niko guided me through the rooms, sharing anecdotes about their history in this house.
“In this one, I had my first alcohol intoxication,” Niko said with a chuckle. “Benny cried because he was super frustrated and Elijah punched me so hard to make me sleep and stop throwing up everywhere...”
He then showed me a big balcony where we could see the vast blue water. “Here Elijah made my first tattoo, the bullet on my rib cage. I did the same on him.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the stories and look back at Elijah, who shook his head every time Niko would say something about how they love each other. It was their little heaven, the Venom Reapers’ paradise on earth.
Benny came here a lot, as well, if I understood everything correctly. He was jealous that he never had the chance to take vacations with his two best friends.
After the tour, we found ourselves sitting on the terrace overlooking the view. The sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink.
“Are you feeling good?” Eli asked gently.
“I do, it’s stunning.”
“We thought you could use a break, Little Z. A little time away from the city with your favorite boys.”
Elijah took my legs and placed them on his lap. Possessive much. “Niko sometimes I really think I’m going to drown you in this fucking water. What did I tell you about this?”
Niko looked at me and laughed, “Okay, so let me rephrase that. A little time away from the city with the man you love and your other best friend, aka me. Benny didn’t deserve to be here, right?”
“Why are you saying that?” I laughed.
“This bastard is so fucking busy, sometimes I don’t understand. He didn’t come home for our last dinner,” Niko complained.
“Yes, but he called me yesterday to talk about the TV show we’re watching together. So, I forgive him.”
Elijah tilted his head curiously, possessiveness crossing his features, “Are you two watching something without me?”
Niko burst into laughter, “Are you jealous? Wow, that’s insane. Let me just call Ben and tell him about that.”
Eli gave Niko a dark look. “Try me.”
“Hayati, you’re the only one I watch new TV shows with,” I said, trying not to laugh, and hugged him. “You know you’re my one and only partner,” I whispered against his neck.
Eli nodded, approving, I let a little chuckle out.
Feeling overwhelmed with gratitude, I impulsively kissed Elijah’s neck, surprising even myself. “Thank you for bringing me here,” I said, my voice soft with sincerity.
Elijah looked surprised and nodded in response. “You’re welcome,Milaya.”
“This house belongs to Elijah. It’s a sort of secret he discovered a while back,” Niko explained.
My curiosity piqued, I turned to Elijah. “Is it yours, then?”
He nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. “Bought it a few years ago.”
Niko added with a little childish smile, “At first, when we started making decent money, this place was our little getaway.”
“So, it’s yours, but you, Benny and Nikoi used to come here often?” I asked.
Elijah’s gaze met mine, and he confirmed, “Yeah. Niko and I came here when we needed a break. It became a routine for a while. Benny comes here from time to time too. But it’s not even a surprise anymore because Niko already told you about that.”
“Sorry, I just had to share the history of this house like a good guide.”
My voice betrayed my happiness, “And I’m here too, now.”
