“Nothing much,” Niko replied, his tone teasing. “Just Zanae here bringing all the attention our way.”

Elijah’s eyes darkened, “Which one is it?”

Niko turned back to the exit and tried to show him the man who tried to flirt with me, I quickly took Elijah’s hand to make him look at me, “You’re not going to kill him Elijah, calm down.”

He leaned in and pressed a kiss on my lips before caressing my cheek, “You’re right, I’m going to fucking bury him alive.”

Niko nodded, “Let’s do that, I like your idea better, Eli.”

I took their arms and linked Elijah’s one with mine and the other with Niko’s. “Oh, please. Let’s just go home and have a good time. The three of us.”

But then Elijah took Niko’s arm and threw it away from me, Niko continued his good-natured ribbing. “Elijah, you’re in for a lifetime of dealing with her and the chaos she brings.”

He smirked, “Good thing I love it.”

We went back home, popping bottles everywhere, Niko didn’t stop drinking, neither did I, but not as much as him. Even Elijah had this little tipsy look on him.

After a few more glasses, Niko succumbed to the effects of a considerable amount of alcohol and decided to call it a night. He mumbled something unintelligible. Something like, “I love youguys but I’m going to throw up. Good night!” before making his way to one of the guest rooms, leaving Elijah and me alone.

“He’s going to wake up with the mother of all hangovers,” I remarked, taking a sip of my drink.

“He deserves it.”

I couldn’t tear my eyes away from him; Elijah embodied everything beautiful in a man. His tattoos on his olive skin, his eyes, his hair, even his stubble, felt like I was looking at a masterpiece,my masterpiece.

The alcohol had worked its magic, loosening my inhibitions and making me feel like the luckiest girl alive for having a man like Elijah…the horniest too.

“Speaking of which,” I said, leaning against Elijah, “have you ever seen Niko this drunk?”

“So many damn times,” he replied, shaking his head.

I found myself nestled in his arms, feeling the effects of the alcohol heightening my confidence. “You are a really bad influence. Getting us all drunk like this.”

He chuckled, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine and heat between my legs, “Blame Niko. He’s the one who suggested the ‘let’s get wasted’ plan.”

Leaning closer, I whispered in his ear, “Maybe it’s not such a bad plan after all.”

Elijah’s gaze burned, as if he just felt the change in my mood. “You think so?”

I nodded, meeting his gaze with playful intensity. “I do. Besides, I missed you.”

His hand traced lazy circles on my back, and he pulled me even closer.

“You’re a dangerous temptation, Zanae.”

I ran a finger along his jawline, savoring the way his breath hitched.

“I miss my man, I miss your lips, your hands…” my lips brushed the shell of his ear as I whispered, “I miss the feeling of you inside me.”

His lips curved into a smirk. “That dirty mouth of yours is killing me.”

I let my hand go down on his chest, my voice even lower than before, “I just need to be reminded of who I belong to.”

He leaned in, his lips dangerously close to mine. “I don’t need to remind you that you’re mine, Zanae. You’re marked with my name, with my bites, my kisses, and my touch on every inch of your body.”

Green eyes ablaze pierced through my soul, darkened with passion and desire, full of nights spent dreaming of the feel of his lips on my skin, full of longing and promises.

A gaze aching for my touch, aching for pleasure, aching forme.
