He kissed me again, delivering a hit of power that made my chest tight and my limbs weak. The awful clawing in my lower abdomen ebbed and vanished. I relaxed beneath him as he plucked at my lips with his before disengaging.

“How do you feel now?”

“Good. So much better. Thank you.” I blinked back tears of gratitude and he reached up to smooth hair off my forehead. “It’s just as well, because I think we have a visitor and he’s not happy.”

The angry buzz in my solar plexus finally registered. I sat up, heart pounding. “He can’t get in here, can he?”

“No, he can’t. But he’s in the elevator. It seems his link to you allows him to bypass our security panel.”

“Where is she?” Telarion’s voice drifted into the bedroom. “Where is my human?”

Oh, crap.

* * *

Telarion filled the elevator, but he wasn’t able to pass the threshold into Lothos’s quarters.

My incubus friend poured himself a glass of whiskey while I approached my aberrant. “What are you doing here?”

“I said I would find you.”

“I’m busy.”

“You need to feed.Ican feed you.”

Wait, what? Was he offering to… “No way.”

“I can take care of what’s mine.” His gaze was pinned on a spot above my head.

I glanced over my shoulder at Lothos, who was studying Telarion with a small frown.

“You don’t need the incubus.” Telarion sneered. “You have me.” He dipped his head so his eyes were level with mine. “I can give you what you need, tiny human. I smell your arousal when I feed on you. I sense the carnal desire rising inside you. I have the tools with which to satisfy you. A fair trade, don’t you think? A symbiosis.”

My cheeks burned. “Shut up. I am not having sex with you.”

“Aw,” he crooned, “am I too monstrous for your delicate sensibilities? A shame, because I have a package much bigger and satisfying than your incubus friend.”

His hand went to his crotch, to the bulge of a resting cock that equaled that of an aroused incubus one.

Oh my God, seriously? “I don’t have tousehis package. He feeds me without taking anything in return. Unlike you, bloodsucker.”

Telarion growled low and menacing, but I was pissed off and high on the energy Lothos had given me. No way was I backing down.

“What? What are you gonna do, huh?”

He smirked. “Feed on you.”

My heart stuttered, but it was okay, my hunger was in control so his feeding wouldn’t affect me as much.

“Whatever.” I was so done with this conversation. I shoved my socks and shoes on in angry, jerky motions. “Move back.” I stood hands on hips.

Telarion smirked and decreased in size to allow me to fit into the elevator with him.

I smiled at Lothos. “I’ll see you in a couple of days.”

“No, she won’t,” Telarion said as the lift doors closed.

I kept my back to him, aware of his imposing presence and not giving a damn. How dare he follow me, order me about, act as if he owned me.
