“It’s just, um…look, you’ve been really sweet making me breakfast. I love it. But I don’t want you to get the wrong idea.”

“About what?”

“I’m not interested in anything serious. Like a relationship.”

Theo blinks like what I’ve told him is as unsurprising as the sky is blue or that snow is cold.

“That’s okay. I’m not into that either.” When he flashes an easy smile, I let out a breath of relief.

“Okay good. I just didn’t want you to think I thought of us as a couple now. I’m not a relationship kind of person. I mean, I love that you did this.” I gesture to the tray of food. “I just don’t want you to think I expect romantic, couple-y stuff like this. Especially since I’m not really good at romantic gestures.” I make a weak laughing noise.

“You naked is all the romance I need,” he says.

“I’m serious, Theo. If you want something serious, I can’t give that to you.”

He shakes his head. “It’s okay, Maya. Really. We can keep doing what we’re doing without any expectations or putting a label on it.”

“Really?”

He nods before taking the tray from my lap and setting it on the nightstand. He pulls me onto his lap and I straddle him. I savor the feel of his muscled quads, his warm skin.

He cups my face in his hands and pulls me close to his mouth, his lips barely skimming mine.

“It’s just sex, Maya,” he rasps before leading me in the slowest, hottest kiss I can ever remember having.

My brain short circuits at the way his tongue teases and laps at mine, the way he groans into my mouth.

Soon our rhythm picks up. I’m clawing at his bare chest with one hand and tugging my fingers through his hair with my other.

“This is okay with you, then?” I get out between kisses. “Everything is the same between us. We just have sex too.”

He smiles against my mouth.

“I just don’t want any confusion or hurt feelings…” I rasp with my eyes closed as he runs his mouth along the side of my neck.

He dips his head down to my breasts and teases my nipple with his tongue.

“I’m one thousand percent okay with this,” he says before swirling his tongue around my other nipple.

My breath catches as I feel that familiar ache between my legs. I grip his shoulders as he works me over with his mouth until I’m shuddering and swearing.

In an impressively swift move, he flips me over so I’m on my back and he’s hovering over me. My cloudy-with-arousal brain takes in how his breathing didn’t even pick up with that strength move.

Theo reaches for the nightstand drawer and pulls out a condom. He sheaths himself, then teases the tip of his dick at my sopping wet slit.

“Tell me how you want it, Maya. Fast? Slow? Hard? Sweet?”

“Fast. And hard. Please.”

Something sparks in those blue eyes. His mouth assumes a dangerously hot half-smile before he slides in. My head falls back as I moan. How can he feel this good every time?

He does exactly what I ask, and takes me hard and fast. The whole bed is shaking.

That tell-tale pressure inside of me winds tighter and tighter. When I see him clench his jaw, I can tell it’s amazing for him too.

Liquid heat seeps from between my legs all the way up my abdomen to my chest. My eyes roll to the back of my head. Every sound I make is desperate and pleading.

“Play with that pretty little clit for me, baby,” Theo demands in a steady, husky voice despite the Superman pace he manages. “I can tell you’re close.”
