We stood in silence as he waited for me to answer, but I was lost. I didn’t know what he wanted me to say. When I didn’t say anything, he chuckled before he reached into his pocket and pulled out a black ring box. I slapped my hands against my mouth, peering around the pool area. It was then that I noticed the music had been cut down, and all eyes were already on us. I turned back to Luca just in time to see him drop to his knee while opening the ring box. Inside was the most stunning emerald-cut diamond that had to be at least four carats.

“Luca?” I choked out as a tear slid down my cheek.

“You said nothing could make you happier, but what about this?” he asked as he took my hand into his. “From the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were the one. I also knew I had my work cut out for me if I was going to win you over. But youwere worth every wall I had to break down to get to your heart. Since you and Lil Bit have been in my life, I’ve been happier than I could ever imagine. I love waking up to you. While our time together has been short, I have been the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. I promise to cherish, love, and protect you and Lil Bit forever. So, will you make me an even happier man and marry me, Sugar?”

By the time he finished, I was practically sobbing. All I could do was nod my head rapidly. Luca removed the ring from the box, placed it on my finger, and scooped me into his arms while tonguing me down in front of our families and the club. Whistles and shouts came from all around.

“The children are out here!” Thor shouted.

“That’s how they all got here, so hush!” Crystal shouted back.

“Ma, right message, wrong messenger. I don’t want to think about you and Dad doinganythingalong the lines of this,” Cara retorted, causing everyone in the entire pool area to break out in laughter.

For the next few minutes, we were swarmed by everyone with congrats. I was surprised when my mom told me Luca had already called and asked for my hand in marriage.

It was crazy that I came here broken into a million pieces. I was a shell of the woman I once was, but Luca and this club healed me. Helped me put all the pieces back together. I didn’t even want to know where I would be had I not come here seeking help from the club.

Luckily for me, I would never know because I was here now. My life was now filled with everything I could ever ask for, and I was going to enjoy every single moment for the rest of my life.

ONE MONTH LATER

Big Red and Alice’s Wedding Reception

“They look so happy,” Giovanna cooed in my arms. The entire club, plus the Louisiana and Tennessee chapters, was gathered around the dance floor as we watched Red and Alice share their first dance as husband and wife.

Paul was generous enough to allow them to be married at his hotel in Orlando, free of charge. Their ceremony took place in the garden. It was something right out of a fairy tale. In all the years I’d known Red, I had never seen him happier than when he said, “I do.”

Being here only made me impatient to have a wedding of my own. Giovanna and I had agreed to wait six months. With the opening of the bakery, settling into my job, Gabi and the puppies, our plates were beyond full. We needed to get settled into a routine before we could start planning a wedding.

So far, everything had been smooth. The bakery was booming. Every time I went there, it was a wraparound line ofpeople. Giovanna’s baked goods were a hit, and the town had been buzzing about it since day one. On the day of her grand opening, she received flowers from Danny, apologizing on behalf of his family for how they had treated her.

He also begged that she wouldn’t keep Gabi away from him. Giovanna didn’t believe he was a hundred percent sincere with his apology, but she didn’t care either way. She had no plans of blocking Derek’s family from having a relationship with Gabi, but she was done with them. After dealing with constant drama from her father and Derek’s family, she just wanted to enjoy the bubble of happiness that I gave her.

Meanwhile, things with my family were going great. My parents came back to visit after the grand opening. They were here for almost a week, getting to know everyone at the club. Even though I knew my father would never admit it, the club life had grown on him a little bit. I never thought I would be in the place I was with my father, but I couldn’t be happier. Everything in my life was perfect.

“And soon that’ll be us. I can't wait to make you Mrs. Ferrari.” I spun Giovanna in my arms before taking her lips in a kiss.

“Alright, break it up, you two. Somebody wants to say goodnight.”

Breaking the kiss, I turned around and saw Crystal standing there with Gabi in her arms, who was giggling, watching her mother and me.

“You getting ready to head out with the kids?” I asked.

“Yup. The brothers have been tossing the drinks back, so I know you all are about to get wild.”

I nodded my head and chuckled. She was absolutely right. From the moment we stepped foot in this ballroom, the brothers made a beeline for the bar.

“Bye, Mommy. Bye, Pony. I love you.”

Giovanna and I took turns embracing her before giving her back to Crystal. We watched Crystal and Paul usher all the kids out of the ballroom. They would be staying in the penthouse suite tonight.

“Come on, Sugar. Let’s go dance.”

We made our way to the dance floor that was filled with couples. Will and his date, Zack, were dancing and grinding on each other so hard it was almost soft porn. Crystal was spot-on when she said things were about to get wild.
