Epilogue - Orion

Three Months Later

Stevie is lying onthe picnic blanket, wearing only my leather vest. We’re in a secluded part of the lake where no one can see or hear us, but to be safe, I have a few of the new prospects positioned carefully around the lake, just out of hearing range.

She loves wearing only my vest and nothing else when we’re alone, especially here at our favorite spot by the lake. She thinks I don’t notice the slight swell of her stomach that wasn’t there when we first met, but I do.

A baby, we’re going to have a baby. I’m still struggling with the fact that Stevie loves me, but giving me a child is the greatest gift, besides her love, that I could ever receive.

I’m asking Stevie to be my wife today, and I need everything to be perfect. And not because of the baby. No, I’ve been planning this day since the first day I saw her driving around town on her pink scooter and knew she was the only one for me, even if I hadn’t planned on acting on my attraction.

Thanks to the Sons of Decimation, I had to claim Stevie to protect her. It seems to be the result of every one of their failed plans. Just ask my brothers and their women.

“I have to tell you something.” Stevie worries her lower lip between her teeth. She sits up and leans back against the tree we’re using for shade.

But I stop her before she has a chance to speak. “There’s something I want to say to you first.” I bend down on one knee in front of her, reach into my pocket, pull out the black velvet box, and open the lid, revealing a large diamond that the salesperson called a princess cut, with clusters of smaller diamonds circling the bigger one, almost like a group of stars around the moon. “Will you marry me?”

A look of surprise crosses her face before she launches herself into my arms. “Yes! Of course I’ll marry you!”

“Be careful. You might hurt the baby.” I place my hand on the swell of her stomach with a smile.

“Oh, right, the baby. That’s why you want to marry me—you know about the baby.” She shifts in my arms like she’s trying to break free of my hold, but I don’t let her out of my embrace.

“I’m over the moon that you’re pregnant with my child, but I’ve wanted you to be my wife since the first day I saw you on that pink scooter. And don’t you ever doubt that.” My lips crash down on hers, showing her exactly how I feel about her. “Do you believe me now?” I say when we finally both come up for air.

“I don’t know. You still haven’t put the ring on my finger.” She looks at me through lowered lashes. “So until then, I’m a single lady.”

“Like Hell you are,” I growl, letting go of her long enough to pull the ring out of the velvet box and place it on her left hand. “There. Now it’s official.”

“I might need a little more convincing that you want me for anything beyond the baby’s sake.” She slips out of my arms and lies back on the picnic blanket, spreading her thighs wide, looking like an invitation for sin, in only my leather vest and nothing else.

I dive between her legs, spreading them wider to accommodate my large frame, accepting her challenge. I run my tongue overher lower lips, lapping up all her sweetness gathered there. “You taste so fucking good, beautiful.” I groan into her pussy, eating her out like a man deprived of food for weeks. “I could eat you every day for every meal for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.” My tongue flicks faster over her clit just like she likes it.

“Yes, Orion. Right there.” She moans, lifting her hips to meet my mouth, her juices soaking my beard just the way I like it. Smelling her on my face all day is one of the greatest pleasures.

I slide two fingers into her hot pussy--her desire glazes them like a ham. My girl gets so wet when she’s turned on, and I fucking love it. “That’s it. Give me all your cream, beautiful.” I grind my hips into the hard ground, needing the pressure to hold off my orgasm.

Being with Stevie is always amazing, but knowing she’s agreed to be my wife and is carrying my child fills me with joy. I want to make this time together even more special than any previous time.

I pump my fingers into her core faster and deeper--my tongue matches the speed until she’s screaming out her climax. “Yes! Orion!” Her shouts fill the air. I’m pretty sure it was so loud that the prospects heard her. But I know she would be embarrassed to know that, so I’ll keep that a secret. The only secret I ever plan to keep from Stevie.

Kissing my way up her body, I place a soft kiss on her lips and wrap my arms around her, holding her close.

With a sigh of contentment, she reaches her hand to the left side of my face and gently caresses the scars there. I don’t flinch at her touch—if anything, I lean into it, savoring the fact that she loves everything about me, even my flaws.

“I love you, Orion.” She smiles at me with all the love in her heart.

“I love you too, Stevie,” I say, and since I know she’s a fan of ’80s music thanks to her constellation-loving grandmother, I quote one of her favorite songs from Prince. “I’d cross the stars for you.”
