“Anyway.” She shakes her head with a laugh, turning back to Mel and Brax who are hanging on her every word. “It was the most romantic moment of my life, so I’m pretty sure he has you, Brax. Sorry.”
Mel turns to her husband and slaps his arm.
“What was that for?” he shouts.
“For not being more likehim!” she declares, pointing at me. “No sex for you tonight.”
Wyatt giggles as she watches the two of them, but a booming laugh bursts from me when I see the look on his face, like a petulant child who has just been told he can’t have any candy.
He looks around the room, slowly taking each of us in, and when his gaze lands on me, his eyes narrow and he glares with the strength of a thousand suns.
“You are dead to me.”
