His mouth fastened on her nipple, and his hands closed around her waist. Dani threaded her fingers through his hair. He rocked against her, and she was frustrated that she hadn’t stripped bare.

“Let me go,” she whispered. “Just for a minute.”

He grunted but helped her off the chair. His hands bumped against hers as they both went for her panties. The second they were off, he was pulling her back onto him. She caught his cock in her hand and felt him pulsing under her fingertips. Jamming her knees back into the pockets beside his hips, she rose and guided him to her.

Dani felt as if she might melt from pure pleasure when he slid in. She pushed down and slowly took him, inch by inch.

He licked at her nipple, and she dropped her head back. It was hot, so hot. Wanting to feel more of it, she raised her hips and began a mindless, all-consuming rhythm.

“Ooh,” she moaned. She caught the chair behind his head.

“Dani,” Reno said.

He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. Their lips tangled in a hot, breathless kiss.

The music played on, but the sounds of their lovemaking had to be reaching the hallway. The sighs. The groans. The cries. Dani didn’t care. They’d paid for this room. They were going to use it as they wished.

They made love, touching and pleasing one another until he gave a powerful thrust upward. Two more, and she went taut as a bow. She squeezed him tightly, and he called out her name as he came.

Afterward, she melted over him like warm butter. His arms dropped limply, but he kept his hands on her. Closing her eyes, she waited for her heart to stop throbbing.

“Dani?” he said, not bothering to open his eyes.

“Hm?”

“Promise me you won’t run again.”

“I promise.”

She felt safe right here.

Hours later, they were awakened from a sound sleep by the ringing of his phone. Before the second ring, Reno was alert and moving. He rolled out of bed and dove for his jeans. “Georgie! Give me some good news. Did you find anything?”

Dani sat up on the bed and pulled the sheet up to her chest.

“We hit the mother lode, my friend.”

A jolt of excitement hit Reno square in the chest. “Tell me everything.”

“Your hunch paid off big time. When I asked the hacker about the allergy thing, he jumped all over it. He said that the seller had been a regular sneezing machine. I took his statement along with some other evidence to a judge and got a search warrant for Pfizer’s home.”

“What happened?” Dani asked.

Reno nodded at her. Her eyes rounded with shock.

“Hold on. I’m putting you on speaker.” He scooted back against the headboard so she could listen too. “Okay. What did you find?”

“What didn’t we find?” George said. “Somehow, that little weasel found a way around the security checks at Quadrangle. He’d brought home disks, documents—even hardware.”

Reno’s eyes narrowed. “Do you have him in custody?”

“That’s the best part. When we showed up at his door, he fainted. Honest to God, he just dropped. When he came to, he started singing like a bird.”

“He confessed?”

“Oh, yeah. We got him.”
