“He does, but his specialty is cutting people up into little pieces,” King said, laying a hand on my chest. “It’s not an easy task and not even I would do it.”

That’s why I did it. One of us would have to and I didn’t want him to do itbecause he would have if I had said no.

“Can’t you just feed them to the pigs?” Ally rested her chin on her hand looking at us.

“People pay money for this specific type of killing,” King sighed. “I don’t know why, a bullet to the head or fed to the pigs is the same thing to me, but I don’t question orders.

“Mmmm.” Ally pursed her lips like she wanted to say more.

“How did the drop offs go?” I asked, running my hand up and down her spine.

She laid her head down, trailing her finger around some of my tattoos.

“Better,” she sighed. “As soon as they see or hear about the triplets, they either shit their pants or give us a wide berth.”

“You don’t sound happy about it,” King said.

“I am, don’t get me wrong, I just hate this pissing contest,” she said, throwing her leg over mine. “I know it’s a matter of time before I lose the triplets, so what will I have to do for them to respect me enough to stay in line and not fuck with me?”

They will always see her as weaker.

“We just have to find you some good men who will be loyal,” I said, staying positive.

“We could always murder someone for you,” King added.

“You can’t fight my battles and as much as I would love it if you killed everyone for me to solve my problems, you know that’s not going to work,” she said, leaning away from me. “Winchester said he knew of a few people we are going to be speaking to tomorrow to upgrade the security for the compound. Honestly, I need like a million dollars to fix all the shit Kris neglected. I don’t know how that man managed to stay in power.”

“We could give you a million dollars,” King said. “If money will make things easier, then that’s the least we could do for you.”

Ally sat up. “Sure, give me a million dollars.”

King sat up going to the edge of his bed to get his phone.

“Have you set up new accounts for Christmas?” he asked, typing away on his phone.

“Yeah, everything is under my name and anything that was in the old accounts has been transferred to me,” she said, watching King warily. “Thats the first thing the Mayor did.”

“Mars can set up security and I’ll get him to transfer the money?—”

“Wait, what?!” Ally squealed “What do you mean transfer? You just have a million dollars laying around?”

“We get paid for our services and we’ve been doing this for a while,” I shrugged.

“Why do you live in the trailer?” she asked, looking around.

I scowled.

“I mean, not that there is anything wrong with the trailer, but you have the money for something more,” she said, appearing nervous. “Sorry, I don’t mean to be an ass, I just?—”

“We don’t need much,” King said sitting on the bed. “Boogie and I didn’t come from much, so warm water, a roof over our heads and hot food are our main priorities, everything else, well… it’s not necessary.”

Ally looked between us and nodded her head.

“Well, if we want a new bike, we usually buy it,” I said, trying to lighten up the mood.

Ally looked lost in her head.

“Are you ok?” King asked, walking around the bed.
