“Wow!” Vivian exclaimed.

“Ka-boom!!” I replied excitedly.

“Oh, damn,” Carlos remarked.

“Dude, what the hell is wrong with you?” Eddy asked.

“For real, man. You’re a hater. No, you’re worse. You’re a woman-hating pig,” Frankie mocked.

“What? What the hell are you talking about? You started all this. I’m just defending myself. I just don’t like social justice pigs,” Jacob insisted.

“This guy doesn’t accept others for who they are,” Marcus said aloud.

“Yeah, he’s hating on everyone here,” Frankie pointed out.

“I think you’re missing some other things,” Eddy added.

Frankie wasn’t able to hear him over the increasingly rowdy crowd. The members of the social justice club were telling him to apologize, while Jacob completely refused. I motioned for Eddy and Marcus to come over while Frankie wiggled a pig in Jacob’s face. Porter was busy keeping a couple of security guards away by telling them they were running a school-approved celebration for Jacob and Carlos.

“This is kind of getting crazy,” Eddy said, frustrated.

“Prepare yourselves; it’s about to get crazier. Let’s do Plan B,” Heather ordered.

“Wait, I thought that was a last resort?” Eddy asked.

“Let’s just do it anyway. This is a perfect time. Pass me some. I want in,” I said.

“Are you sure about this? The security is right there.”

“Porter’s handling it. We have time before they realize what’s going on,” I replied.

“What if we get in trouble?” Eddy asked.

“Don’t worry, everyone will do it. They can’t suspend everyone. They’ll do an announcement, and it’ll blow over in a couple of days,” I assured Eddy.

“What if Newman finds out you ‘assaulted’ him? I’m sorry I’m asking a lot of questions, but I don’t want you or any of us to get in trouble,” Eddy pointed out.

“That’s very thoughtful, Eddy. Luckily, Heather kind of thinks of everything,” Vivian said.

“I’ll just accuse him of solely targeting me when other people were doing it, or I’ll threaten to report him for protecting a misogynistic pig. He’s the principal of an ‘A-Plus’ school. He needs to act politically correct.”

“C’mon, Eddy. Your girl knows what she’s doing,” Marcus said as he dragged Eddy towards the lunch table with the pig baskets.

They began grabbing multiple toys and passed them around to nearly everyone in the cafeteria. Marcus started it all when he threw one in Jacob’s mashed potatoes. Everyone held their breath.

A few seconds later, Frankie started snorting like a pig as Jacob grabbed it and tossed it to the floor. It then commenced. A barrage of toy pigs descended on top of Jacob and Carlos like hellfire raining down from the sky. Frankie jumped back and got in on the action, and Eddy did as well, although reluctantly.Even the members of the student council pelted Jacob and Carlos as total chaos erupted.

“What the hell is going on?” Jacob shouted.

“We’re getting pelted with plastic pigs,” Carlos blurted out.

“My question wasn’t literal,” Jacob pointed out.

Porter wasn’t able to hold back the security guards any longer as they attempted to shield Jacob and Carlos from the attack. That image will forever be ingrained in my head. All members of the social justice club got closer and threw pigs at Jacob and Carlos while shouting obscenities at them. Jacob and Carlos desperately fought back by attempting to catch the toy pigs thrown at them and launching them back. The security guards tried to stop both sides while continuously getting caught in the crossfire.

Eventually, Porter snuck up behind Jacob and shoved a pig in his mouth, and it was absolutely glorious. Jacob got so angry that he took it out and let out a scream that only wild animals could produce. He tried to hit Porter with it, but one of the security guards held him back as he was literally foaming at the mouth. Carlos tried to help him escape, but Marcus grabbed him and pinned him to the ground with Frankie’s help. They pretended to be on the security guards’ side by helping them take down the “culprits” of the entire mess.

After the metaphorical smoke cleared, the security guards and a very furious assistant principal, Jane Woods, questioned who began the entire thing. No one said a single word. Jacob pointed and shouted that it had been the basketball players, but he had no concrete proof.
