She shook her head, thinking of Roman glancing toward the door constantly as class started. He’d been waiting for Stammer. She’d have to thank him later. Or give him crap for keeping it from her.
“So, I won’t be suspended?”
He shook his head. “But you don’t have to go back to class. Meaning—”
“Thirty minutes to go make-out in your truck?”
He gasped and put a hand to his chest. “Hadley Gibson, you shock a guy’s sensibilities.” He bent to cover Stammer’s ears. “There are children listening.”
“Okay. Guess I’ll head to the library to do some studying then.” She turned to walk away.
Spencer caught her around the waist. “Don’t you dare.”
With a laugh, she squirmed free and pulled him in for another bruising kiss.
“Forget the kids.”
As if in response to her words, Stammer released a loud cry.
