"Just Will."
Killian laughed. "What were you doing with Will?"
"Looking for Diego." She released a dramatic sigh. "But he's hiding in the library."
"He isn't hiding, Wylds. It's called studying."
"And he can't do it in the dorms where I can bug him?"
Killian wiped his face on his shirt. "I think that's precisely why he can't."
"Why are you sweating? Will wasn't sweating."
Killian shook his head. "You know that guy is totally in love with you, right?"
"Who is in love with her?" Logan walked from his room, his hair wet from the shower and a towel over one shoulder.
Wylder could hardly look at him with the questions percolating in her brain. Who was Logan Cook really?
"Will." Killian rose up, balancing on his toes in a squat. He placed his palms on the ground and lifted his feet until all his weight was on his hands.
"Showoff." Logan snapped him with the towel, and Killian fell forward, his concentration broken.
Killian laughed as he pushed himself to his feet. "Who isn't in love with our little Wyld Child?"
Logan raised his hand. "Me."
Wylder punched him. "At least one Cook brother has good taste." The words sat between them, heavy with meaning, and she regretted letting them out at all.
"Wait." Killian pointed to Logan. "He knows now?"
"He knows?" Logan asked, staring at Killian.
Wylder buried her face in her hands, wishing it would all go away. She'd avoided Sebastian's texts for two days now, two days since letting him kiss her, letting him make the kind of decision that could destroy his career.
Two days since she'd decided to take that decision from him, to save him from her.
"What are the odds that everyone will just forget about this?" There were too many people who knew now. Diego, Killian, Will, Beckett, Nicky.
"I'm going to guess zero." Killian walked to their tiny fridge and pulled out a bottle of water.
"Perfect." She noticed Logan didn't say anything to that, and she had to get out of there. "I actually came here for a reason. Killian, I need to steal you."
"What for?" He took a long drink of water.
"I can't tell you, but I promise it's important."
"Don't trust her, man." Logan shot Wylder a wink as he grinned.
Killian chuckled. "Fine. Let me grab my shoes."
Wylder wiggled her bare toes. "Who needs shoes?"
"Humans," Killian answered. "Humans need shoes."
Once out in the hall, Wylder grabbed his arm and pulled him toward the stairwell. "I need you to listen to something."
"And we couldn't do it back in my room?"
