With a hungry growl, I move my mouth to her clit, applying slight suction to the sensitive nub. Gently, I work two fingers into her pussy as it clenches greedily around me. Slowly at first, I pump my fingers into her, turning my hand so I can stroke her g-spot better. I work her faster and harder as she clutches me and rides my face.
Looking up at her, I can see she is close. Her face flushes, her eyes glitter as she watches me eat her. I grin against her as I work a third finger into her tight passage. She moans and cries my name.
With one more pump of my fingers and a hard suck of my lips, she goes off like a rocket. There is no way the rest of the office didn’t hear her as she yells my name. A blaring alarm accompanies her cries.
With a gasp, I lurch upright and look around.
I am in my bed at Brianna’s house. Another fucking dream.
Turning to the nightstand, I shut off my alarm before scrubbing my hands down my face. My fingers come away, wet and sticky. Grand, now I’m drooling in my sleep too.
Groaning, I fall back against the pillows. That woman can tempt a saint, and I am no saint.
When I saw her about to fall off that ladder yesterday, my stomach lurched in fear. I wasn’t thinking when I moved to catch her. My hands on her bare thighs, her curvy ass inches from my face. With another groan, I palm my aching erection, seeking some relief.
Those tiny shorts and tank top had left little to the imagination. Her body had burned my hands. I’d wanted nothing more than to carry her to the shower to scrub the dirt from her. Even after she’d changed clothes, I’d spent the evening posing to hide my semi. Everything looked damn sexy on her curves.
Didn’t matter though - she is off limits.
Oh well. Time to get up and ready for the day. Starting with a cold shower.
Chapter eleven
Back to Work
Brianna
It’s Monday morning, and I still haven’t figured a way out of my dilemma with Stone and the impending eight am interrogation… I mean staff meeting. I nervously enter the conference room and take my usual seat - in the corner farthest from Stone.
Colin, who insisted on joining the meeting, sits next to me at the foot of the table. Good move. He has made a subtle - yet clear - statement that even if Stone is in charge here, Colin is equally powerful and demands respect. From the pinched eyebrows and pursed lips on Stone’s face: message received.
“Alright everyone, it is eight-oh-one. Anyone not here is late. Brianna, we’ll start with you for updates.”
Stone has summarily dismissed Colin’s presence in the room. Proper protocol would be to introduce Colin to the staff. Throw in some warm welcome and comments about how happy we were to have him here, blah blah blah. Then again - I really shouldn’t be surprised that Richard is being, well, a dick. I turn to watch Colin, to see if he’s noticed the slight. His handsome features are completely calm. Noticing my attention, Colin shoots me a quick wink.
Warmth spreads in my stomach, and I take a deep breath to give my update. “Production has begun on Smart Screen. Last week, marketing held a focus group and four out of five people said they would purchase when available. Last week, we found a bug in the software for the Rover project. Fortunately, after a late-night session, the developers created a workaround. Unfortunately, the delays set us back about a week and we’re trending 5% over budget because of the extra development time. The contingency budget should more than cover the labor, though, and we can gain back the time during testing next month.”
“Bring in that schedule, Chance. What about your new project?”
I meet Stone’s glare directly and answer firmly. “Still early days, sir. Meeting with the Dublin office last week went well, but the scope is still a bit too broad for my liking. IS is working up drawings for another prototype and a pitch deck this week. After that, I’ll better understand what we’re working with.”
A muscle spasms in Stone’s cheek. His ice-blue eyes shoot daggers to my right. Colin hasn’t moved a muscle. He sits back in his chair, ankle casually crossed over his opposite knee and fingers laced over his stomach. Not a care in the world.
In his charcoal gray tailored suit, dove gray dress shirt, and a medium gray silk tie, Colin looks every inch the powerful executive. His green eyes sparkle with confidence and challenge. A young lion waiting to pounce.
Where had that thought come from? Dammit, Brianna, get it together.
The staring contest continues for a few tense heartbeats before Stone tears his gaze away and snaps at the next PM to begin. He can’t push me for more information in front of Colin.
“Everyone needs to bring those numbers up. The end of the quarter is coming up and the executive board will review project stats. If I do not see marked improvement next quarter, there will be consequences.” Stone starts to gather his tablet and coffee before adding, “Oh, and this is Mr. McLeary from Innovative Solutions. He will work in the office next to mine if you need him. How long will you be staying with us, McLeary?”
All eyes turn to Colin, who is still lounging in his chair, completely at ease. Slowly, Colin unlaces his fingers and spreads his hands palms up as he smiles at Stone. “That depends on a great many things, Stone. We’ll just have to play it by ear.”
Stone gives a smile that is all teeth. “I see. Everyone get back to work. You stay, Chance.”
I take a deep breath and mentally stretch for the intricate verbal maneuvers I am about to perform.
To my right, Colin now stands at my elbow. “Actually, Stone, we have an urgent task for Dublin and I need Brianna. You were right about how amazing she is. Afraid I just can’t spare her. Even for a minute. You understand.”
