I was the stupidest victim in the world. Who reached for one of their captors? Who wanted to touch them after the horrors they’d inflicted? I should be angry. I spent fuck knows how long down in that dungeon. One sign of kindness and I fell.

Pulling my hand back, I sat up in bed. A painful squeeze numbed my body, and I covered my mouth to stop from crying.

What was that?

Slowly, I rolled to the edge of the bed toward the side Axel had lain in, away from the large male, and swung my legs off the bed. Sharp tingling spiked across my ankles as soon as I settled my weight on my feet. Soreness radiated through my body, and the aches burned.

I gritted my teeth and stepped forward. Unable to help it, a gasp wrenched from my mouth. The sound was painful and ripped from my sore throat. That fucking hurt.

A groan from the bed had me freezing. Three bodies spooned. They’d left a space between me and the closest one, Kane, as if they didn’t want to touch me. It didn’t surprise me, considering the reaction they’d had when Axel placed me in the bed. He was the only one fighting for me.

He was also the only one gone from the pile. He must be cooking. I bit my bottom lip as excitement urged me forward. On my tiptoes, I left the room, striding down the hallway and following my nose until it led me downstairs to the kitchen.

I found the bear of a man whipping up what looked like a feast. He turned around, and our eyes locked. Of course, he was shirtless, wearing nothing but low-hanging sweats that did nothing to hide the thick rod that hardened at the sight of me.My eyes darted back to his to find a sparkle of humor in his green eyes.

“Good morning,” he greeted, and strode to me, reaching me in three long strides. My mess of hair rustled around my cheeks, but suddenly he stilled. He retracted his hand slowly, and the furrowed eyebrows clued me in that he hadn’t meant to reach out to touch me. I could understand the confusion, because I was as drawn to him. All I wanted was to bend toward him and cuddle as close as my body could possibly get.

The pan hissed, and Axel returned to the stove. He gripped the handle to twist the skillet. A plume of smoke sizzled into the air, and he reached over the sink to open the window. Good, it was actually super warm in here.

I smoothed the oversized shirt under my ass to wiggled onto the too-tall chair. The temperature was fluctuating dramatically. I twitched on the hard seat and fanned my neck.

Footsteps approached, and I should be focusing on who was coming inside the kitchen, but my skin burned. I scratched at it as if I could rake the sensation away with my fingernails.

A sudden swell of nausea rippled through my stomach.

I groaned and clutched my belly.

“I’m going to vomit.”

Kane suddenly appeared in front of me. He halted a few feet away from me as if he had slammed into a barrier.

I couldn’t hold myself up anymore, and I propped my hands on the counter. It hurt too fucking much, as if I were being seared from the inside out.

Faint, frantic speaking floated in and out of my ears, but I couldn’t connect sense to the string of words.

I whimpered and clenched my thighs together.Delicious. Male. Fuck.

I wanted them. Hollowness dipped my belly as if someone had scooped their hand inside my stomach and taken everything out. Something was missing, and it needed to be filled.

A tremble coursed through my thighs.

“Do you want water?” Finally, I could make sense of something Oak said.

“N-no.”

I staggered. I wantyou.

Oak was an arm’s length away, and Kane speared his fingers through his hair as he cursed.

“Everyone, calm down,” Oak snarled. Heat pulsated through my pussy. I didn’t have underwear on, so my slick dampened my inner thighs. I should be embarrassed, but I didn’t give a fuck. I wanted a fuck. Hard. Fast. Rough.

“Fucking shit,” Axel snapped and raked both hands through his hair, tugging at the strands. His cheekbones strained, and his distress wasn’t hard to miss. He pulled me into his arms and rubbed my spine. I helplessly arched against his touch, shivering uncontrollably.

Something was wrong with me.

My gaze snagged on Rath gawking, his eyebrows high on his forehead and his mouth parted.

I whined again, and Kane took another unsteady step forward, his fists trembling. My chin dropped to my chest as I took in labored breaths.
