In my room, I peel off the damp fabric and grab a clean pair. My gaze lands on the drawer. I open it.

The vibrator sits right where I left it, bright pink and mocking. My cheeks burn. I don’t touch it. Not today.

Fuck, I miss them. I miss them inside me. I miss them fucking me. They do so much already, so I’m not about to ask them for more, but God, do I miss them.

Leo is waiting for me, keys in hand. “You good?”

“Yeah,” I lie, sliding my purse over my shoulder.

He watches me as we walk out to the car. “You’ve been quiet.”

“Just tired.”

His hand grazes the small of my back, steadying. “Dr. Ellis will make sure everything’s on track.”

We drive in silence, his presence grounding. At the clinic, Dr. Ellis welcomes us with a warm smile and begins the ultrasound.

“All three babies look strong. Growing right on schedule,” he says. “How have you been emotionally?”

I glance at Leo, then back at him.

“Hormonal. Hungry. Touchy,” I say softly.

He smiles. “Normal. You’re doing beautifully.”

Leo’s hand slips into mine, strong and sure. And I swallow the ache in my throat, nodding like I believe it.

Leo opens the passenger door and helps me ease back in. My body is slower these days, heavy in a way that’s impossible to ignore.

He waits until I’m settled before closing the door, sliding into the driver’s seat with one last glance toward the clinic. His fingers tap lightly on the wheel as he pulls out of the parking lot, his expression unreadable before he speaks.

“Have you thought more about Asher’s proposal? The house?” His voice is soft, cautious, like he already knows my answer but needs to hear it anyway.

I shift in my seat, adjusting the belt that presses against my belly. “No. I like it at Logan’s. It’s familiar.”

Leo nods. His hand moves over the console, reaching for me, and when his palm lands on my belly, his entire face softens. He doesn’t speak, just stares like he’s seeing stars on my skin.

It’s always like this with him. Reverent.

He strokes once, slow and warm, and I bite the inside of my cheek, just watching him.

“How are you holding up, hiding this from Coach Ace?” I ask.

He lets out a breath that might be a laugh. “Better than I thought. I keep waiting for Daisy to say something, but she hasn’t.”

“She’s smart. She knows what would happen. Her uncle would lose his mind.”

Daisy’s own harem and pregnancy were announced before she was ready, and she had to deal with the fallout, so I understand why she would keep this a secret from me. She gets it.

I wish I could talk to her about all of this, but then it would have to involve Logan and somehow my brother, too. Damn!

He glances at me again, lips twitching like he wants to say something else, but then I tilt my head toward the window and ask, “Do we have time to stop for another smoothie before you drop me at the arena?”

“Of course,” he says immediately. No hesitation. He flips on the turn signal, then reaches into the glove box. “Actually… here.”

He pulls out a bracelet and places it in my hand. It catches the light, delicate gold with tiny charms that glint like stars.

My breath catches in my throat as he leans over, slipping it gently onto my wrist. His fingers linger for a second too long, brushing against my skin.
