Chapter 8

Kian

After the wedding, he was busy. He went to work and covered Trace’s shift and Reid’s.

He didn’t mind the hard work and knew that Brek and Scott were both grateful they had some help.

Kian wanted to see Karalee though, but hadn’t had the chance yet.

He barely even had time to eat. He wanted to do all he could so that Brek didn’t regret hiring him.

He patrolled around the town and his phone vibrated in his pocket.

He looked at it, Brek.

Brek: You need to take a break. You've been out there nonstop. You do realize that nothing will happen?

Kian: I just have to make sure. I know how close Sienna is to delivering your baby, as is Stacy, and want to be sure that everything is covered when she does. Plus, with Trace gone, I want to help out as much as I can.

Brek: You're a good man. Scott and I appreciate your hard work.

Kian: Thank you. I'll take my break soon. Grab lunch from the diner. Can I get you anything?

Brek: Just a burger and fries. Scott is set. Stacy already packed his lunch.

Kian: She's a good woman.

Brek: Sure is. Scott is ready for anything at the drop of a hat. And Stacy is about done.

Kian: I can see that.

Brek: See you soon.

Kian: 10-4

He put his phone away and then drove to the diner.

Karalee was there and he hoped that he hadn’t screwed everything up last night by kissing her.

He didn’t want to rush her he just couldn’t wait any longer.

Had to taste her lips and they were better than his dreams. He also hadn’t meant to tell her all about his fantasies about her.

He had one this morning about her sneaking down to his room and climbing in bed with him.

She had pulled the covers off him, and had taken his cock in her mouth, making him throw back his head on his pillow.

He had to grab his hard cock and stroke it, and it hadn’t taken just a few strokes before he came all over.

He always did that whenever he had dreams of her and damn it, he wanted them to come true.

He sighed and shook his head; he had to face her and get it over with.

Parking his cruiser in front of the diner, he went inside, and Mila was there.

Karalee was nowhere in sight and he let out a small breath.

He didn’t want to see the hate on her face. It would break him.
