He practically branded himself as hers and wasn’t sad in the least.
He got dressed quickly in a pair of dark jeans and a white t-shirt with a black sweater over the top.
It was getting colder in the mountains and he knew that he wanted to be prepared.
He combed his hair back out of his face and gelled it, so it would stay put, and then sprayed some of the cologne on that she had bought him once when they were still talking to each other.
He bought the same kind for years and still liked the smell. It reminded him of her and he loved that she'd thought of him enough to buy him a present.
He grinned as he walked up the stairs and kissed Gran.
He knocked on Karalee’s door and she opened it, wearing a light grey wrap dress and some knee high boots with a high heel.
Her hair was down and curled in its natural way and she had a tiny amount of makeup on her face.
She looked amazing, if he had to use words.
“You ready?”
She nodded and he held out his hand and pulled her from the room.
They waved to Gran and walked out to his car. He opened her door and then kissed her softly as she got in the passenger seat.
He ran around to his door and then took off toward his new home.
Kian had run to the store today so he could cook for her in their kitchen. He was glad Brek left most of the kitchen supplies he would be needing.
He hoped this was the start of their lives.
