Chapter 10
Kian
When he awoke the next morning with Karalee wrapped in his arms, something he would never forget for as long as he lived, he hoped and prayed that he would be able to do it for the rest of their lives.
He had to wake her. Karalee and he both needed to get to work.
He kissed her lips softly and she stirred, stretching and letting out a soft sigh when she woke.
She blinked a few times, and then her green eyes landed on his. They smiled and Kian had to kiss her again.
She let out a squeak, and tried to cover her mouth, “I need to brush my teeth.”
He laughed, “I don’t mind one bit, especially if I get to do it for the rest of our lives.”
Her eyes went soft and he kissed her. “Come on, I know you have a shift at the diner soon.”
She let out a sigh and he pulled her from the bed. She tried to cover her nakedness and he pulled her hands away.
“I have seen and licked every inch of you. That’s my gorgeous girl and her bombshell of a body. Don’t insult her by trying to cover up the curves and perfect breasts I have waited and longed to see for years.”
She laughed and dropped her hands and he walked up to her and dipped her low, kissing her. “That’s my girl.”
Then he went around finding their clothes and helped her dress.
She would laugh when he tried to pull his clothes on and he would almost fall over because he was staring at her while she dressed.
He would grin at her, “What did you expect? Seeing you naked for the first time has fried my brain a little.”
She laughed again and he finally pulled her from the room, “Do you want to get some coffee? Or do you want to wait for work?”
She grinned, “Your gran always has the best coffee. Can we go there, and I can take a quick shower?”
He put out his lip, “But I want you to smell like me all day.”
She smacked his chest lightly, “You are a caveman, aren’t you?”
He nodded and she laughed again, “Come on, take me home and then tonight, I am all yours again.”
He let out a growl and she pulled him from the house and to his car, where he opened her door and then ran around to his.
He held her hand the entire way back to Gran’s house and when they walked in the door, hand in hand, Gran smiled.
His parents had to get back to Scotland right after the wedding, but Gran was on the phone the second they walked in the door.
“Ailith, take a look at this.” Then she turned the phone on them and Ailith let out a cry of happiness.
“Oh, Kian! Ye finally did it!” He grinned and shook his head, “You doubted me ma?”
Ailith laughed and Karalee snorted, “You did have to work for it.”
Ailith nodded, “That’s my girl. Oh sweetheart, do ye realize that yer my daughter now?”
Karalee nodded and Ailith’s eyes filled with tears.
Kian kissed Karalee on the head and then hugged Gran.
Ailith’s face was so dear and he blew his ma a kiss. “That’s right. She is soon to be officially your daughter.”
