He nodded and she hugged him as well, “Thank you for giving us hope. We have been down there, waiting for our fate for days. It was horrible. But it’s over now. Thanks to both of you.”

Kian hugged her back, “My girl was right. If you need anything let us know. I wrote both of our numbers on there.”

He held out his card and then gave it to Shelley.

She took it in her dirty hand and then hugged Karalee one last time.

Shelley walked back over to the ambulance and Karalee almost laughed out loud when she saw Graham staring at Shelley.

He looked as if he wanted to climb in the back of the ambulance with Shelley but stopped himself.

The guys came up to them after Shelley left and Kian grinned at them all.

He hugged each man and she did as well.

Xavier glared down at her, “You scared ten years off my life by running into that house.”

She patted his arm gently, “Sorry. I didn’t mean to. I just had to get my guy. He went through so much to win me over; I couldn’t just let him die in there. He had to enjoy it for a little longer.”

The men all laughed, and Kian pulled her close to his chest.

She kissed him, and he kissed her back.

“Besides, who wouldn’t want to save him? He would do anything for me.”

Kian cupped her face, “I love you. You little reckless bad ass.”

She laughed and then he led her to the car.

She went willingly and Kian called over his shoulder, “Hey we have some rooms at my ma and da’s house. If you want to come stay.”

The guys laughed and followed behind them and as soon as they were in the car, Kian pulled her into his lap, kissing her.

“You scared me angel. I thought I was going to lose you.”

“I scared you? You were the one who got shot! More than once I will point out. Are you sure you don’t want to go to the hospital?”

He scoffed, “It was nothing.”

She smacked his good arm, “It wasn’t nothing. You looked as if you stopped breathing if I recall.”

He laughed softly, “Fine. But you shouldn’t have even come. I didn’t want to see you in that house ever again.”

She kissed him, “It was important. My love was in there. What was I supposed to do?”

He laughed and then put her back in her seat, “We will talk about this later. When we are alone.”

She shivered at the promise in his voice and then he drove them to the house that had always made her happy.

That had been her saving grace.

As Kian pulled into the driveway, and the guys pulled in behind them, she knew she found the life that she always wanted.
