Rose nodded and Cabe did as well. Case grinned again, “I would be honored. Let me get Emily and Oliver. Your family won’t mind me bringing my wife and our son?”
Rose shook her head, “They will love them. I just know it.”
Case smiled and walked away, entering a room just down the hallway from Cabe’s suite.
Another door opened just behind them and Cabe turned with Rose still tucked into his arm.
An older woman with greying hair stepped out and when she spotted them, she grinned and walked quickly to where they stood.
“Cabe! Oh, thank god you found her. I heard you come in, but I did not wish to bother you. Hello dear, you must be Cabe’s Rose.”
Rose smiled and nodded, “Hello, Margaret.”
Cabe’s mother grinned again, then she pulled Rose from Cabe’s grip and hugged her tightly.
“My son has told us so much about you. I feel as if I know you.”
Rose felt another smile and she looked over at Cabe. “He did? I like that.”
Margaret laughed, “Oh yes. He wanted us to know all about you. How happy he was that he found you and how he wanted us here to meet you. So that one day when you have children that I would know my grandchildren.”
Rose felt her cheeks warm, and she looked at Cabe who smiled. “Thank you. I am happy Cabe has his family. I cannot wait to know all about you as well.”
Cabe kissed his mother on the cheek, “We are going to see Rose’s family and Case, Emily and Oliver are joining us. Do you wish to come along?”
Margaret smiled, “Of course. Now?”
Cabe nodded and Margaret laughed, “I am ready.”

They pulled up in front of Cole’s townhouse and Lily ran from the door and pulled Rose from the carriage as soon as she started to step out.
“Rose! Thank God. Oh, thank God you are all right.”
Rose heard the tears and relief in Lily’s voice, and Rose felt her own eyes get hot.
Cabe had taken her so fast last night that she had not had the chance to speak with Lily at all, and she felt awful for that this morning.
Cabe came up behind them and gently ushered them in the house, and away from prying and gossiping eyes.
When the door was shut behind everyone, Lily pulled Rose back in for a hug.
“Are you all right? After you went missing, we were all so afraid. It was too close to home with us getting taken months before. I don’t like it Rose.”
Rose hugged her sister. “I know Lily. I know. These last few months haven’t been easy for any of us.”
Lily’s eyes grew liquid. “I haven’t been the sister you need Rose. And I am sorry. I was just so caught up in my love that I didn’t listen to you.”
Rose shook her head, “Don’t do that. I am so happy that you found Burk. That you are happy with him. That he loves you and treats you like a queen. Please do not feel that way. I am fine. I was fine. I just missed Cabe and now he is back.”
Lily finally looked at Cabe and smiled. She let Rose go and hugged Cabe.
“I am so happy you are home Cabe. That no harm came to you.”
Cabe kissed her cheek softly, “Thank you Lily. I am sorry I didn’t let Rose stay last night.”
Lily laughed, “I don’t like it, but I understand it. Burk would have done the same thing.”
