The Renegade
Somewhere, Dec 1812
Charles sat in his cabin again. Watching the water from his large windows in his cabin, as it bobbed against the hull.
The ship was anchored, and his men were off enjoying a drink and some women while Charles wanted to be alone.
He had gotten a letter from Lucius, and it made him smile.
The Captain was still with the family that he had warned him away from. Apparently, someone had hurt one of the men and Charles was bursting with pride for the man who had done so much damage to them he wanted to crow.
It was a marvelous feeling, having someone at your mercy and bending to your every whim.
Charles smiled. The Captain would be sailing soon, and though Lucius had not known what Cabe’s crew was doing aboard Cabe’s ship, Charles would be ready for them.
He would finish his revenge on Cabe if it was the last thing he did.
