She gave half a smile, then wiggled her fingers still trapped in his. “What do you think? I never thought in a million years that I would meet a man like you.”

He raised his eyebrow, “A man like me?”

She let out a laugh and pulled him to follow Cassidy, “Yes. A sexy, handsome prince. You aren’t real are you?”

He chuckled, “I’m not a real prince, not for anyone but you. But, I am one hundred percent a real man.”

He leaned down and kissed her lips softly, making her let out a soft whimper.

“See sweetheart? All real.”

She nodded, “That you are.”

He grinned, and kept walking and when Cassidy bounced up to them at the end of the street, she showed them her bag of candy. “Are we going somewhere else to trick or treat?”

Gunner grinned and dropped to his knee in front of his niece, “Do you want to?”

Cassidy giggled, “Yes! There is more candy out there.”

Gunner laughed, “Then more it is.”

Arielle knew that she needed to get to the surprise party so she could change soon.

Putting on a silicone tail wasn’t easy. But she would enjoy this time a little longer.

As they drove to the next place, Cassidy asked why they were holding hands.

Gunner looked in the rearview mirror and then at her, “Because, I don’t want my princess to run off.”

Cassidy nodded, “Oh, yes. She could. You are right. Hold hands so she can’t.”

Arielle laughed, “I do need to get going soon. I could only come for a little bit.”

Gunner shook his head, “Where are you going?”

Arielle shrugged, “I have a place to go to.”

Gunner humphed and she laughed, “I can stay for a little longer. One more street.”

As they walked, Gunner asked her about her life and she told him how she was an only child, loved to sew, had her own business and loved doing what she did

He told her that he too owned a business, but didn’t tell her what it was called. Just that he worked in real estate. And that his parents were happy and in love after all these years of marriage.

She loved getting to know more about him and he would stop and kiss her every so often.

When he had to drive her back to his house, she could tell he didn’t want to let her go.

And when she got out of the car and to hers, he pushed her up against her car, kissing her breathless, “Call me later? I want to see you again Arielle.”

She nodded, “I want that too. It will be sooner than you think.”

He grumbled and then she gave him her phone to put his number in and call his phone.

She heard it ring and then kissed him. “Have fun with the rest of trick or treating. See you soon.”

She sat in her car, glad he couldn’t see the tail there, and she drove to Genna’s house.

Her stomach was still full of butterflies.

He was her first kiss, and she knew deep inside, that he was the man she had always wanted.
