Grandma: Sure can love. See you soon.

Arielle looked over at Kadence, “She is good. Thank heavens.”

Kadence laughed, and then when the shop bell dinged on the door, she looked over her shoulder and scowled.

“What?” Arielle asked and Kadence turned around, “It’s that guy from the company again.”

Arielle groaned, “Do they not get that no means no? What is so difficult about that word? We don’t want to sell. That is that. Can you imagine what would happen to the neighborhood if they built their monstrosity?”

Kadence nodded, “I know. Do you want to do the honors? Or me?”

Arielle looked down at the beading, “You. I need to get back to this or I will be here all day on just this project.”

Kadence nodded, “Done. Be back in a sec.”

Then she walked to the front and Arielle heard Kadence say, “I thought we told you no. Is it your company's policy to harass people until they give in to your wants and wishes? Because that is illegal. We don’t want to sell. So you can take your offer and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine and please don’t come back again, or I will have to call the cops.”

Arielle had to stifle a laugh, loving her best friend and that she was fierce in her protective ways.

The man blustered and spluttered as he backed toward the door and Arielle peeked around the corner to see him almost fall through the door as Kadence crossed her arms over her chest, “We don’t want to hear it. Have a nice day.”

Then she very gently shut the door on the man and locked it.

Arielle shook her head and then went back to her beading, knowing things were well in hand.

Her grandma got there a half hour later and helped them to catch up on their stock of dresses that needed last minute things done so that they could go onto the floor.

The three of them joked and laughed, and when a customer came in looking for a dress for her six year old daughter, Kadence helped her find the perfect one and Arielle was again reminded of why she loved her job.

When she finished with Cassidy’s dress and it’s beading, she felt like she had climbed Mount Everest.

It was thrilling to see her hard work pay off like this and when she let Genna know the dress was done, Genna let out a squeal.

“Oh! You are so amazing Arielle. Thank you. Can Cassidy and I come pick it up today? She will be thrilled.”

Arielle grinned, “You sure can. I would love to see you both.”

Genna laughed, “She will be so happy. She has been talking about you non-stop and can’t wait to see you.”

Arielle laughed and said goodbye and got started on her next project.

Thinking about Cassidy always put a smile on her face, and it made her long for a family of her own.

Those thoughts could hold for now. It wasn’t like Prince Charming was waiting around the corner.

Getting back to work, she did as much as she could on the next dress in her line up, until the bell dinged again.

This time a little girl’s voice could be heard and Kadence was laughing with them as Arielle made certain everything was perfect with Cassidy’s dress.

She walked out with the box, putting it on the counter and Cassidy squealed as she saw her.

She ran up to her, and hugged her tight when Arielle dropped to her knees to see the little girl.

“Hey there beautiful. I have missed you. Did you enjoy your party?”

Cassidy nodded, “We did. Mommy said that you are coming back again, but are you going to be swimming? I don’t want to swim.”

Arielle looked up at Genna who shrugged, “You don’t want Arielle to swim in the pool this time?”
