Her father must have had a reason to have this storm today, and she wished him well and that he was safe.

She was deep enough in the water that she wasn’t too affected by the storm as much, but she knew that whoever was caught in this storm on the waters above would not be safe.

She swam toward a group of rocks, and helped the small calf into an outcropping there.

With a quiet voice she sang to it, needing to calm it and make it stay put.

The calf nudged her, letting her know it would be safe and that she could leave it there.

She was only grateful that there were no sharks or other fish in the area because of the storm and she left the small baby, swimming hard into the churning water, feeling a pull to the surface so strong it physically hurt.

She did her best to see through the bubbles and the waves, and the closer to the surface she got, the worse it was to swim and she struggled to stay upright in the waves.

She finally burst through the surface to see the world in chaos.

The wind howled, the lighting forked in huge bursts of light through the sky and the thunder boomed above, the sound loud and jarring.

The waves tossed her around as if she was nothing but a small shell on the beach and she fought to stay above the water, searching for what was calling to her soul.

And then she spotted it. A boat. It was being flung through the waves and she could see a man on board, trying his best to tie everything down so it didn’t fly off the boat with the waves and to keep the boat from capsizing.

He was failing with each task as the waves battered the vessel to and fro. She tried to scream a warning to him that a massive wave was building behind him, but knew it would do no good, and she watched in horror as the huge wall of water fell on the ship, breaking it into pieces.

She dove under the water, using her powerful tail to try to reach the man that had flung himself free from the boat and had dove into the water at the very last moment.

It was pitch black in the waves, until the lightning would fork, and she could see again.

She followed the pull in her chest, and did her best to find the man in the chaos of the storm and waves.

As she swam, the lighting lit up the sky again, and she turned her head, seeing the man floating in the water beside her, his head lolling in the water.

She swam as fast as she could toward him and caught him before he sank further.

She blew some of her breath into his lungs, hoping against hope that he would be alright, and with powerful strokes of her tail, she made it to the surface and when they broke free from the water, he took a breath.

She navigated her way toward the shore with him in her arms. Wishing that she could have asked her father to stop the storm, or that she could use her magic to control it herself, but that wasn’t really an option. So, she swam through the storm churned waves, with the man in her arms.

Though It was extremely difficult, she finally made it through the massive waves to the shore.

She was panting when she dragged him up the beach, to safety and watched as his chest rose and fell.

She put her head down on it, listening to his heart beat, and shut her eyes, grateful she had found him and saved him.

He rolled to his side unexpectedly, jarring her off his chest, and she wiggled back into the water, as he started coughing, trying to get the salt water out of his lungs.

Soraya watched as he heaved everything up and then lay back again, his eyes shutting and his mouth moving as if he was saying something.

She couldn’t hear anything that he was trying to say, and as she studied him, she noticed that he was barefoot, had dark shorts on his legs and a shirt that was white.

It showed every inch of him off to perfection and Soraya knew that he had to be her mate if she was having these sorts of thoughts about him.

She knew she needed to check on him closer, and shut her eyes, feeling the magic take over her and then her tail was gone and she used her arms to pull her body up the beach toward him.

She hadn’t ever stood on or used legs before and didn’t know how to do it properly.

She would figure that out later though.

She made it back to his side, pulling her body up the beach to get close to him and she assumed he was asleep again, but he was breathing better.
