“Well, that was something else.”
He chuckled, “I lose my goddamn mind with ye around. I swear.”
She laughed, “I do too. You aren’t the only one.”
He leaned down and kissed her, “I love ye Keelyn.”
“I love you too Kieran.”
He pulled out of her and then walked over to the drawer in his desk.
She sat up, and he turned her on the desk, making her cry out in alarm.
He dropped to one knee in front of her and opened a small box there.
Inside was a deep green emerald. It was a circular cut and was by itself on a silver ring.
The emerald was massive and the ring was twisted and shaped into a Celtic love knot called a triquetra. It was stunning and she looked at him, “Kieran?”
He smiled, “Mo Ghra. I love ye. I love everything about ye. Will ye marry me? Make me the happiest man in the world?”
She nodded, “I will.”
He stood in all of his naked glory and put the ring on her finger and kissed her again, making love to her all over again, but this time he sat in his chair and she rode him until they both came.
When it was time to go back to her motel room, she didn’t want to go.
But she did and then on Monday morning, Kitty decided she had enough and dropped her off and went looking for someone to hire her.
Keelyn couldn’t even argue. Kitty got what she wanted and Keelyn was grateful she didn’t have to keep lying to her sister.
Hiding her ring was difficult and she knew that Kieran wouldn’t like it, but now that Kitty was here and getting a job, she knew that the secret could come out.
It was beyond time and she was glad she didn’t have to hide her love.
