Chapter Four

Gareth

She was going to kill him with her sweetness.

He drove them to his house trying to not break any laws, but getting close to a few.

He didn’t give a fuck at this point, but he wanted her in his bed and if he got pulled over, he would have to wait.

He didn’t want that, so he slowed down enough to not get pulled over and she laughed when she saw him do so.

“I need to be with you baby. So if I speed a little, that’s why.”

She leaned over and kissed his cheek, “I like it.”

He turned his head and pecked her lips with his and pulled into his driveway moments later.

She unbuckled her seatbelt and looked up at his house that he had bought and was slowly fixing up, and her mouth dropped open.

It was a two story bungalow with a wrap around porch on the bottom level and a few balconies on the top.

He had repainted the outside and it was a light cream color with blue shutters and he loved it.

He watched as she slid out of his truck and walked to the house.

He caught up to her, lacing his fingers through hers.

“What do you think baby?”

She looked over at him, “I have loved this house for years. I was so sad it was so neglected. That it wasn’t given the proper love a house like it should have.”

He grinned, “I thought the same. It was for sale for a long time and it called out to me. I wanted to buy it the first time I saw it and I’m glad I did.”

She leaned against his shoulder, “Take me for a tour?”

He led her into the house and showed her around downstairs.

She touched the new paint on the walls and ran her fingers along the counters in the kitchen and then gasped at the pictures of him hanging in his office.

“You must be really good.”

He laughed, “I’m okay. I know some fighters that have never lost. They are that good.”

She raised her eyebrows, “I would love to see a fight sometime.”

He leaned forward, “I would need you with my team at all times. Or I wouldn’t be able to fight. I would worry about you too much.”

She smiled, “You want to show me upstairs?”

He pulled her from his office and to the stairs. “I bought this house knowing I wanted to fill it up.”

She gaped at him and then bit her lip, “I haven’t ever thought about kids. I’m on birth control. It helps with my periods.”

He kissed her, “We can wait. I just wanted to tell you that I want them someday.”

He showed her the few rooms he had finished upstairs and then opened the door to his room.

“This is our room.”
