And yet, Eva had a feeling this man wasn’t that way, that he wasn’t the same as those other men.

And she wasn’t quite sure how to feel about it.

After the game was over, she ran into the locker room to breathe.

His look was so intense and it made her squirm.

She had seen plenty of hot men around, but not a single one had ever affected her like that one had.

She ran to her locker and sat down, imagining him staring at her.

His black hair calling to her fingers.

She let out a groan and took a deep breath and then started changing.

She needed to let him go. To put his image out of her head. She would never see him again and it was a fluke that he even looked her way in the first place.

She was new to the team. That was why he stared at her. Plus, she knew that there was a lot going on.

There was no way he was staring at her the entire time. She was just crazy.

She changed quickly and was almost done putting her things away when April came in.

“Hey Eva. There is a guy outside asking to talk to you. He seems like he is legit and that he really does want to talk to you. He is freaking hot girl. I checked him out with the other girls and he isn’t pinging my weird guy radar, so there is that.”

She turned to April. “He is asking about me? Me?”

April grinned, “Yeah. Sexy guy. Black hair. That one lock that doesn’t seem to stay in place on his head? Tall, muscular and hot as fuck? Yeah. That guy. We all saw him. He was front and center. Plus, he stared at you the entire time.”

She felt her cheeks heat and April laughed, “I will tell him you are still changing. Come out when you are ready.”

Eva nodded and sat down. He was here. Asking to talk to her.

She didn’t know if she wanted to. It was all a lot. Too much.

First with her first day dancing and then being so overwhelmed with a guy.

She hadn’t even thought of guys. They were never on her radar. Ever.

Point blank. She had seen how her dad slept with lots of women behind Payslee’s back and how much it hurt her step mom.

So she had stayed clear of the opposite sex.

But here she was. And now she didn’t know what to do. Or say.

She gathered what little courage she had and walked from the locker room.

There he was. In all his glory.

He had to be at least a foot taller than her. She was five foot one and a half on a good day.

And he was even sexier up close.

When he asked her out it was the last thing she expected him to say.

And she didn’t know what to think.

When he told her that from the second he saw her that he knew she was meant for him, she felt her stomach explode with butterflies.
