He could hold his own both on and off the field.

Though he wasn’t a fan of violence, he never let anyone near his sister. Wouldn’t let anyone hurt her with their words.

She was too good for any of the losers that they went to school with.

And he hoped that one day she would see it.

When he graduated from high school, he got accepted to a prestigious law school and he went away to college for three years.

It scared him to leave Shelley on her own, but he had let the boys at school know that she was to be left alone and much to Shelley’s dismay, they did just that.

He loved knowing that she was safe from the douchebag boys that went to school with them, but he still worried.

She didn’t see her beauty, but he knew that she would someday.

He could only hope that she didn’t do something stupid while he was away, but she was a smart girl and he had told her that boys that were that dumb that couldn’t see her for her weren’t worth her time.

She believed him and he went to school with that weight gone.

He loved being at school, but he still didn’t have time to date or go to parties.

Not that there were many. College was glamored a lot in movies and his most definitely wasn’t a party school.

You were there to study, and get a law degree, not party.

He didn’t mind it. He wanted to finish at the top of his class and get a job at a law firm and if he dated, it would take the focus away.

So he kept his head down, and his nose to the wheel and when he graduated from college, he indeed got job offers from a lot of firms as he had graduated at the top of his class.

But, the one he chose was close to home and the lawyers there represented the Alphas.

He worked for Warren G. Fredricks, and the man was a genius.

Soren enjoyed his job a lot.

He got to work with clients of all kinds, but wished he could help Warren with the Alphas. You know, in case they ever needed anyone.

So far though, Warren had him working with his other clients and Soren went home every night happy with his job.

His phone rang and she looked at the screen to see Shelley’s name on it.

He smiled, “Hey there Shelley. How’s it going?”

“Good. I just signed up to see the Oregon Alphas stadiums! I finally get to see inside!”

Soren sat up, “Do you want me to come with you? You know I know my way around the stadium. I even know some things about it.”

Shelley laughed, “I don’t need you to hold my hand Soren. I can handle going to the stadium. I get to hear all about it on the tour.”

Soren had to bite back his disappointment and he said, “Well, after you get done, let me know if I can help you at all. I certainly can.”

“Thanks Soren. I will show you all the pictures I promise.”

Soren grinned and hung up the phone, a little envious.

He wished he could go to the stadium too. Shelley had the chance to see some of the players on the field.

And he felt a bolt of jealousy hit him.

He had to shake it off, he knew that nothing important would happen when Shelley was there.

Or so he thought.
