Soren

He sat front and center at the next game again.

Watching Eva dance and cheer was the highlight. While he didn’t love that men had their eyes on her, he couldn’t keep her from doing what she loved.

And he was determined to actually watch the game.

His gaze strayed to her all the time though.

Shelley was next to him wearing a jersey with Blake’s name on it. The thing drowned her and Soren knew it was Blake’s personal jersey and not one she bought from somewhere.

He cheered along with his girl when they scored a touchdown and Soren was impressed with Brett and how well the man played.

Since Brett had spoken with him, he had told the team about his issues with his old team.

Blake and Brandon were on his side in the space of a second and the Coach? He was pissed that the other coach would abuse his authority and position.

They welcomed Brett with open arms and true to his word, Soren helped find the girl that he had saved that night.

She was so grateful to Brett for his interference that night. As was her older sister.

So grateful that she and Brett had hit it off and that was their story to tell.

Soren was happy for them though. Brett was a good man and he was a great addition to the team.

Soren loved helping them out and had gotten to know the players well over the last week.

They hadn’t hesitated to come to his door to ask him for help and Soren appreciated it.

It helped him do his job better.

And Warren was impressed by him and by the hard work that he put in.

He didn’t mind swinging by the stadium to help anyone. He and Eva would always find some time to sneak away and he loved every second of it.

She was so perfect it wasn’t even funny and he went with Shelley to pick out her ring.

It was stunning and after the game today, he would ask her to be his wife.

He looked down at the engagement ring on Shelley’s finger and knew Blake had spent a pretty penny on it.

But it fit Shelley perfectly and she had helped him so much.

He thought about the ring box in his pocket and the ring situated inside.

It was a rose gold band with a french cut diamond in the center with small diamonds down the band and a hidden basket of diamonds under the diamond.

It was about three carats and dainty enough for her tiny finger.

Plus he got a small band the same color that was just as dainty as the ring.

He couldn’t wait to see it on her finger.

As the game went on and the cheerleaders danced again, he couldn’t tear his eyes away from her.

Had to keep himself in check. He wanted to lunge over the wall and kiss her breathless.

To hide her away from the world. He held himself back and when she smiled up at him, and only him, he knew that he hit the jackpot with her.
