She didn’t really hear all the words. She was just staring up into Soren’s beautiful storm cloud eyes.
When the man asked them to read their own vows, Soren smiled.
“Eva. My soul. My heart. I have loved you from the beginning and will love you until the end. You are my everything. Thank you for agreeing to be mine. To stand by my side while we go through life. I can’t wait to see what the rest of our future holds. I want to have a family with you. To grow old with you and see just how stunning you look at each and every stage. I can’t wait to see you round with our children and to go on so many adventures with you as my companion. I love you more than my next breath. More than words can adequately describe.”
She took a deep breath and then smiled up at him, “Soren. You are the best man I have ever met. You are patient and kind. You have the hardest work ethic and you find the time in your busy day to always let me know how loved I am. You take your time to pamper me at the end of the day and I can’t wait to spend my life with you. To have a family with you. To see you as a father. I love you so much. Thank you for asking me to be yours. And for being mine. I’m the luckiest girl in the entire world.”
The man asked them if they took each other and they both said, “I Do.”
And then Soren was kissing her.
He held her close and cupped the back of her head, and his thumb ran gently over her cheek.
She kissed him back and when they finally broke apart, everyone was cheering and clapping.
“I would like to introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Soren Chambers.”
Eva grinned so hard and when they walked down the aisle, Soren pulled her back to the bridal suite and she told him that she was going to have his baby.
He dropped to his knees in front of her and held her hips in his hands.
He kissed her stomach and she smiled, feeling a tear fall down her face.
“I love you so much Eva.”
She reached down and cupped his cheek, “I love you too.”
And that was just the start of their beautiful life together.
