The girl’s all looked over and some didn’t smile or hardly acknowledge her, others were sweet and smiled at her.
Eva gave a tiny wave and then Jennifer showed her where to put her things and then led her and the rest of the girl’s to the green, “Okay. Let’s start out with something easy.”
Eva watched the girls go through a simple routine and when they were done with the first few moves, she had the rhythm down and mimicked the other girls.
She had the dance down after a few more seconds and then Jennifer was halting it.
“I’m impressed. Okay, girls, we need to do a harder routine for Eva. Show her what we got.”
The girls all nodded and Eva again watched, waiting for a few seconds as the dance got a little more complicated, -but it wasn’t horribly hard,- and she was able to also pick it up in a few seconds.
This time, Jennifer let her finish the entire dance and when she was done, the girls who hadn’t wanted to smile at her were.
They were all sweet and a few let her know what a great job she had done.
Jennifer came over, “So, you have only danced a few dances, but if you can pick those up that fast, I have no doubts you can with the others. What do you think girls? Should we add her to our family?”
Everyone cheered and Eva grinned, “Really?”
Jennifer nodded, “Absolutely. You are going to be perfect. The first game is in a few more days, so we will get your uniform shipped to you asap. Let’s go into my office and sign a few things. Huh?”
Eva nodded and the girls all hugged her and she followed Jennifer, knowing this was going to be the perfect place for her.
It felt like home, just like the studio.
