Soren

After finding out that Shelley met and started dating Blake Paxton, he was excited.

He couldn’t believe that his little sister would meet a famous football player and have no idea who he was.

She had watched one game with him and their dad before she exclaimed that it wasn’t for her.

Okay, not the whole game. The first ten minutes of the game.

He had shaken his head and that was that.

She hadn’t ever watched again and now she was dating one of the best safeties in the damn league.

How did that happen?

It didn’t matter, but he wanted to ask her. To find out the whole story and meet Blake for himself.

You know, to check if he was a good man. Of course.

Not just because he was one of Soren’s favorite players.

Of course not.

So when Shelley brought Blake over before the first game, Soren stood next to their dad and he could tell their dad was nervous.

But the night was a success and they all loved Blake and how he treated Shelley. Plus, he gave them tickets to the next game.

Front row seats no less, with access to the locker room after.

-----

The day of the game was here and he and his dad practically bounced in their seats the entire way to the stadium.

When they showed their tickets to the usher at the front doors, he showed them which hallway to take and how to get to the front row.

He also told them about where to find the locker room when it was over.

Soren, Shelley and their dad took their seats and Soren looked over at their dad and he was staring at the field as if he had never seen it in real life.

“What's going on over there?”

His dad smiled slightly, “I know we have seen games here before, but never this close. And never knowing one of the team. One of the freaking team Soren!”

Soren laughed, “I know dad. It’s pretty cool. Blake treats Shelley like a queen.”

His dad nodded, “Well yes that, but look at the seats! Front row seats?”

Soren snorted again and Shelley rolled her eyes, and their dad patted her hand and Soren cheered as the cheerleaders ran out onto the field.

He had seen them all before, but none had ever caught his eye. Not like he would have talked to them anyway, but still. None of them caught his eye.

Until today.

When the last cheerleader ran out onto the field, she looked a little nervous, but she held her head high and kept running.

She was absolutely stunning and he couldn’t keep his eyes off her.

She had long light brown hair pulled back in some kind of half style.
