She clapped with the rest of the people when they said, “I do.” And put her head on Harrison’s shoulder while they kissed.
Harrison put his arm around her, “Why are you crying?”
“It was so beautiful. I loved it. I want that too.”
Harrison chuckled, “You are too sweet. Mom is the same.”
Farren looked up at him, “Yeah. She is a lot like me. We both cry at sad movies and books and even good commercials.”
Harrison smiled and rolled his eyes playfully. “You and mom. So entertaining to go to the movies with. Lord. We all went to sad movies just to watch you two cry.”
Farren swatted at his shoulder, “You are a stink.”
Harrison laughed softly and the couple walked back down the aisle together. That was when she looked around and she looked straight in the eyes of a man with light brown hair and brown eyes. He was the most handsome man Farren had ever seen. His face was serious, but when she looked at him, he smiled. Showing off perfect white teeth and a set of dimples. She felt her face go red and she looked away from him and then stood when Harrison did.
Harrison looked down at her, “What’s wrong?”
Farren looked up, “Nothing.”
Harrison’s eyebrow lifted, “You are red. Is it too hot in here?”
Farren nodded, “It’s a little warm.”
She didn’t want to admit seeing the cute guy that had made her so flustered. Harrison led her out of the room, and she breathed in the cold air. A few seconds later, Farren wanted to go back inside.
Harrison smiled, “I’m freezing my nuts off. Come on.”
Farren nodded and they went back inside and the man with the captivating brown eyes and the dimples was standing there. He had one of his arms in a sling and the other was in his pocket.
Harrison walked over to him, “Jet. Hey. Glad to see you out and about.”
Jet shook Harrison’s hand with his good one, “Hey Harrison. Nice to see you too.”
Harrison looked over at her, “This is Farren. My little sister.”
Jet held out his hand to her and she looked down at it. It was large, with long fingers and it would engulf her small hand. She held her hand out to him and he shook her hand softly and then lifted it to his lips and kissed the back of her hand like he was something out of a historical novel.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you Farren. I’m Jet.”
She fought to keep from biting her lip and take her hand back.
“I. Um. I have heard a lot about you.”
He smiled, showing off his dimples again. “I wish I could say the same. But that will change soon.”
She felt her eyebrows lift and Harrison cleared his throat, “Jet? What are you doing?”
Jet looked over at him, “Just getting to know my future wife.”
Farren’s jaw dropped open and Harrison’s did as well.
Jet smiled and tucked her arm under his. “See you later Harrison.”
Farren walked with Jet away from her brother and she wanted to laugh at the look on Harrison’s face.
