Going to Steele’s wedding wasn’t a hardship. But it sucked trying to get ready for it. His dad had to help him into his suit and to put his brace on his arm. They were all invited to the wedding as well and Aria couldn’t wait to dance.

Jet wanted to dance with her, and his mom had bought her a new dress and shoes. Aria was in the living room, dancing to a song on the radio. Their mom was dancing along with her, and Jet smiled when his dad joined in.

When it was time for the wedding, they drove together, and Jet talked to Aria the entire way. When they walked in and sat in their seats, while he stood with Steele. He got to see all the people sitting in the seats, and his eye immediately went to a girl with dark chocolate hair and the most stunning hazel eyes sitting with Harrison.

He felt a bolt of jealousy flow through him so strongly, he had to clench his good hand at his side and his jaw. Especially when she put her head on his shoulder. That was his girl. Not Harrison’s. But as he looked closer, he noticed that they had the same color of hair and the same eye color.

This must be Harrison’s sister. He had met Harrison a few times and the guy was a good man. He talked about his siblings a few times and how he had three brothers and one sister. But Jet had never seen a picture. It wasn’t what guys really did.

So he had to assume it was Harrison’s sister. It was the only explanation he would accept. If she wasn’t, he would fight for her. And he wouldn’t back down. He would use every single tool he had at his disposal and if that didn’t work, he would resort to caveman ways and throw her over his good shoulder and take her to his house. He wanted that more than anything. When she looked at him and made eye contact, she went red and he felt his cock jerk.

He wanted to see that blush all over her. And he was resolved to see it. She looked away quickly and Harrison took her outside for a few minutes. Jet had to fight to keep himself back, but he was waiting at the door where they walked out. When they came back in, Harrison shook his hand and said the magic words that Jet was waiting for.

That she was his little sister. Farren.

He held his hand out to her and the second her skin touched his, he knew he was right. That she was his and it was meant to be. Her eyes widened a little and when he raised her hand to his lips, he had to fight not to run his lips up her arm. She smelled divine. Like warm apple pie. The apple and cinnamon were like a beacon to him, and he faintly heard Harrison clear his throat.

He put Farren’s arm under his good one and wanted to laugh when they both had their jaws drop when he said that she was his future wife. She was. But it wouldn’t take too long in the future. He didn’t want to wait long now that he had found her. She was all his.

He steered them away from Harrison and she finally spoke, “You can’t just decide that I’m going to be your wife. I don’t even know you. Well, aside from what Rickie told me. But that doesn’t mean anything.”

He looked down at her, her head hitting right below his shoulder and her eyes were sparking with angry fire.

“Sweetheart, I can tell you everything you want to know. But I’m going to let you know here and now that I won’t let this go. Or you go. Not now that I have found you. You can’t believe how long I have waited for you.”

She blinked and then looked down, “Well, that doesn’t matter. You can’t just decide my future. My brothers did that for me when I was younger. And I don’t like it. I want to decide for myself.”

Jet stopped walking, “I understand sweetheart. I will give you time to see what this is between us, but I’m not going away. So take all the time you need.”

She looked up at him and she pulled her hand free from his.

“You will let me choose for myself?”

He nodded, “Absolutely. As long as I’m your choice.”

She rolled her eyes, “That’s not letting me choose.”

He picked up her hand and kissed it again, “You are right. I just don’t want to lose you. But, for now, I will take a step back. Let you see that I really am the man meant for you. You can decide the next step.”

He kissed her hand again and then bowed his head to her and then walked away. It hurt him to do so. But he wanted to let her decide. It would break him if she chose to walk away, but he knew he had to let her choose for herself. So he and Scout sat down in the corner away from everyone. Crew joined them for a few minutes, but he had Joslyn now, so it wasn’t the same. He watched Farren as she sat with Harrison and ate and talked.

He wanted to be there with her, but he didn’t want to push it. Even though it rubbed him wrong that he was here and not by her side. When the music started, he watched as his dad walked with Aria to the dance floor and danced with her. Farren was staring at them with a look of awe on her face and Jet stood, walking to the dance floor. This was the way to his girl's heart, and it wasn’t a hardship to dance with his sister. He danced a fast dance with Aria, laughing as she wiggled and moved while she danced. She was laughing hard when she saw his dance moves and he knew dancing wasn’t really his thing.

John also laughed and when the song changed, Aria looked up at him, “Can we dance this song?”

Jet nodded, and their dad lifted Aria to his good arm and Aria wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I love you Jet.”

He smiled, “I love you too squirt.”

They danced the rest of the song and he wished he could use both his arms to hold her tight, but he didn’t have them, so he just held Aria to his side and swayed on the floor with her. When the song ended, she hugged his neck tightly and their dad was there helping her walk to their table. He stood on the dance floor for a second and then walked back with Scout. Scout was sitting back in his seat with his arms crossed over his chest.

“That was the cutest fucking thing I have ever seen.”

Jet smiled, “You know you are going to dance with her too.”

Scout nodded, “I know. In fact, it’s my turn.”
