Farren was standing by Harrison, and she hurried over to him. “I don’t want to leave.”
He leaned in and kissed her again, “Sweetheart, this is forever. I told you that. I’m not going to let you be alone ever again. You are mine. Are you okay with that?”
She nodded slowly, “I wasn’t at first, but now I get that I really do belong to you. And you belong to me. Only me.”
He scoffed, “No one else has ever even caught my eye sweetheart. I’m all yours. Trust me on that.”
She bit her lip and he used his thumb to pull it free. “I need this lip baby.”
She smiled and he reached into his pocket, “Call your phone. I want to have your number.”
She did as he asked and when her phone buzzed in her purse, she smiled.
“Call me when you’re home safe sweets. Okay?”
She nodded, and he kissed her again, this time a little longer than just a small peck. She wrapped her arms around his neck and let out a soft little sigh when he kissed her.
He pulled back, “Can I take you out tomorrow sweetheart?”
She nodded, and he walked her to Harrison’s car. Harrison turned his back on them, and he smiled as he kissed her once more. He opened the door and she slid inside, and he shut the door behind her after saying, “See you tomorrow sweetheart.”
She nodded, and Harrison nodded to him. Jet watched Harrison drive away with his girl. And he hated it. But he couldn’t be too overbearing. Not yet anyway. He helped Aria get into his parents’ car and she yawned but talked the whole way home. He loved her and when his dad lifted her into his arms and carried her upstairs, she put her arms around his neck and Jet leaned against the wall.
His mom came up beside him, “I saw you dance with that girl. Who is she?”
Jet put his good arm around his mom, “Your future daughter in law.”
His mom gasped, “You aren’t serious.”
He looked down at her, “I am. Dead serious. She is so perfect for me. And I already love her.”
His mom’s eyes widened, “Well that’s a first. I never thought I would see the day.”
Jet smiled and she kissed his cheek, “I like her. She is a special needs school teacher and she loves Aria. You can’t go wrong with that.”
His mom nodded, “I like her already too.”
He kissed his mom’s head. And then walked upstairs to get ready for bed. He was going to get back to the office soon. Even though Steele was on his honeymoon. He needed to get back to work. His phone dinged and he pulled it out of his pocket, and grinned.
Farren:I wanted to thank you for the best night ever. I was expecting to sit by Harrison and watch from afar as everyone danced. But you made my dreams come true and I got to dance with the sexiest man and the cutest girl.
Jet:You are so welcome. It was the best night of my life as well. It isn’t every day that you meet your soulmate. I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.
Farren:I can’t wait either. I really like you.
Farren:Ignore that last part. I didn’t mean to write that.
Jet:Nope. I saw it and I’m saving that text.
Farren:Well crap.
Jet:Don’t worry. I like you too.
Farren:... You are sexy.
Jet:Oh yeah? I’m sexy huh?
Farren:I need to stop doing this.
