Jet:Well, I think you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Does that make you feel better?
Farren:Yes. You are too sweet. It’s late and I need to go to bed, but I like talking to you.
Jet:I like talking to you too. I am counting down the hours.

Jet put his phone down and took off his sling. He was able to breathe fully now. He changed into a pair of gray sweatpants and lay down on his bed. He knew he would dream about Farren. Her stunning eyes and her red lips would haunt him. In the best way.

When he went to work the next day, Crew and Scout were there.
“Hey!” Scout said, “I thought you were out for a few more days.”
Jet shook his head, “I’m going crazy in my house. My parents left today and took Aria with and that was the biggest reason I didn’t come back sooner.”
Scout laughed, and Crew said, “She is freaking adorable. Joslyn thinks she is the cutest ever.”
Jet nodded, “She knows it too. She has everyone wrapped around her finger. My girl included.”
Crew whipped his head around, “The girl you were dancing with last night? That girl?”
Jet grinned, “That girl. Farren Anderson.”
“As in Harrison Anderson’s little sister Farren?”
Jet nodded, “Yep. Farren wasn’t really a fan of me going all caveman on her at first, but she totally gets it now.”
Crew put his hand on Jet’s shoulder. “I’m happy for you. Joslyn will be thrilled to add Farren to her group of friends. What with Joslyn, Rickie, Arielle and Kadence, and now Farren, we have to be on our toes.”
Jet gulped, “Yeah. I didn’t think about that. I have seen those girls. They could be scary if we didn’t do what they wanted. Yikes.”
Crew snorted, “You aren’t wrong.”
Scout sighed, “I wish I had one.”
Jet looked over at his friend, “You will. I have a feeling it’s going to happen sooner than you think.”
Scout looked at him with a doubtful expression on his face. “I just don’t think it’s in the cards for me. After seeing my dad blow through women like they were Kleenex, it kind of makes me steer clear even more. I don’t think there is a woman out there who can actually make me want more. There hasn’t been one before.”
Jet shook his head, “Scout. Don’t give up hope. We know your dad is a manwhore of epic proportions, but you aren’t that way. You have always treated women with nothing, but respect and I have a feeling that the woman you are searching for is just like you.”
“I wish it was that easy. That there really was a woman that made me turn my head and see them. I saw how you were with Farren last night. How you are with Joslyn, Crew. How Steele is with Rickie. Never once have I felt like that when I have seen a woman. I don’t know. I think I’m broken.”
Crew stepped in, “Do you think Jet and I were any different? I knew that there was only one woman who could ever make me want more. It was Joslyn from the beginning. There was no other woman that could ever make me change my mind. And I know that is how Jet feels. How Steele felt. And you aren’t broken. I never thought I could even get turned on. You aren’t alone.”
“Crew is right. We have seen gorgeous women. All over this earth. And not once did I ever feel the need to claim one as my own. Not until I saw Farren. She is it for me. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
Scout nodded, “You are lucky. All of you are. Every time one of you pairs off it hurts just a little bit more. I have no one.”
Jet walked over to Scout, “You aren’t alone. You have all of us. We aren’t abandoning you for our girls Scout. We are just adding to the family we already are. You are my brother. And I will never let you feel as if you aren’t good enough to be there.”
Scout looked over at him and then slowly nodded. Jet squeezed Scout’s shoulder. Scout nodded again and they went to their offices and Jet looked at the work he had piled up on his desk. There were a few orders for some of the tech he made for the bank, and he knew it would help a lot of places be more secure. He woke up his computer and checked his emails and did what he could with the little mobility he had. He was supposed to start physical therapy soon and his mom had already made the appointments for it and they were going to start after the New Year. He knew his mom wanted to come back for New Years with Aria and he couldn’t wait. Because he hoped that Farren would join them. He shut his eyes and tried his best to focus on work, but he struggled with it.
He wanted to be with his girl. And he pulled his phone out, but then put it back.
She was probably busy. He sighed and then shook his head, “You are a pussy.”
