Farren smiled, “I am glad you were with me. That you were conscious enough to tell someone about me. What happened to us.”
Rowen nodded, “Me too. Your phone was on the hood of the car right under me and I grabbed it and called Harrison and he called the cops. They were there in seconds it seemed and so was Jet and Scout. I knew I would be okay then.”
Farren hugged her again. “Good. Thank you for being there for me. For being my friend.”
Rowen kissed her cheek, “You are so welcome. Of course. You would have done the same for me.”
Farren nodded, “Thankfully we don’t have to worry about that. Not anymore. Not with the men that are ours.”
Rowen snorted, “You aren’t wrong.”
Farren laughed and the bell rang to let them know that the kids would be arriving soon.
“Are you ready for this? The kids have all missed you.”
Farren nodded, “I have missed them too.”
The door opened, and the kids all came in and Farren greeted each one. It was the perfect day back at work and when she was done, Jet was there, holding a bouquet of flowers. She hurried to him as quickly as she could, and he laughed when she threw herself into his arms. He picked her up and had her hold her crutches and the flowers and then put her in his truck.
She was lucky. Indeed.
Epilogue One
~ Jet ~
A few months after everything had happened with Ted, it all came out that he had been following Farren for some time. That he watched her each night she left work and had tried to break into their house. He had confessed it all and had been given a deal but would still be sitting in prison for a long time.
He was given twenty years with no option for parole. Farren had been grateful she didn’t have to testify against him, she only had to go to the station and give her statement. Rowen did as well, as did Jet and his team. She never had to face Ted again and it was a relief and as soon as school got out, they had planned their wedding for June. It was a beautiful warm day and they got married at their house, in the backyard.
Farren, Rowen, Arielle, Kadence, Rickie and the moms of all of them helped to decorate the backyard. It was covered in flowers and lights. They were strung across the entire yard and Jet hadn’t complained once. He wanted to do anything for Farren, and he would. He and his team, along with Raiden and his crew helped as well.
And when the day came, and he stood at the end of the aisle, he was nervous, but excited. He was ready for Farren to be his wife.
When the music started, and the bridesmaids walked down the aisle with his groomsmen, they were all wearing bright, summer colors.
Arielle walked with Gunner. She had on a bright blue dress.
Kadence came next with Raiden. Her dress was green and then Rickie came with Steele. Her dress was bright red and then it was Joslyn, with Crew. Her dress was yellow and then came Rowen. Her dress was purple, and Scout had her on his arm. Then came a few of Farren’s students.
They walked with his mom and dad, and Farren’s mom. As well as Farren’s brothers. Stetson escorted a young girl in a wheelchair down the aisle and she was grinning.
Then came Aria.
She was holding onto Bo and every few feet she and Bo would drop flowers and Bo held a small pillow with the rings. Bo was his best man, and Aria was Farren’s maid of honor and flower girl.
There were no dry eyes in the house and when the music started to play for Farren’s turn down the aisle, Jet had to lock his knees, so he didn’t run down the aisle to make her come down faster.
When she came into view, he sucked in a breath, and he felt his eyes heat. She was stunning in her pearly white dress. The dress was off her shoulders, and she had a long veil that covered her face and yet, he was still able to see her perfectly. The dress was tight all along her body until it reached her hips and then it flared out into a wide ball gown shape. She was holding bright daisies in her hands, and they matched the colors of her bridesmaids and the little girls that were in the party.
And when she got to his side, and he lifted her veil so he could see her face, he smiled down at her. She handed her flowers to Aria, who held them gently to her and then she turned back to him. The priest started talking and Jet occasionally heard the words. But he focused on Farren and only Farren.
When the priest cleared his throat and Farren squeezed his hands, Jet looked over at him and the priest smiled, “Your vows?”
Jet nodded, “Right.”
Everyone laughed and he looked at his girl again.
“Farren. The woman of my dreams and of my every thought. You came into my life at a time when I didn’t know I needed you. Until you were there. And then it took everything inside me to not make you mine. You were this flame of life and pure happiness and I was drawn to you. I wanted to soak up your warmth and bask in it. I still do. You give me a purpose. I know that there is more out there now and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us. But I know that no matter what it throws our way, we will weather the storm together. I love you. I love every single thing about you and I can’t wait to have you as my wife. My partner and the person I will live my life with.”
